Whelp.
I'm pretty sure no one asked for a sad story but Y'know I just couldn't resist posting this.
That and also the fact I've had exams and haven't been able to post jack shit so why not post a story that's already written? Luckily I'm halfway through my exams and I'm going to write on the weekend nights! Sorry I've been so inactive I'm glad you guys are so patient with me!

With that said, I hope you enjoy!

Antonio would wish that time would just stop..

He could spend all day with his wife without having to worry about the time that limited her life. She was deathly ill, and the doctors told him she wouldn't live long. She was sick all the time, soon she couldn't walk anymore, but she never ceased to make Antonio smile. He wanted to spend all his time with his sick wife, (F/N)..

But he knew that time only flowed forwards..

He wasn't sure how she stayed so joyful through all the pain she was going through. Antonio wasn't even sick, and yet he could barely keep a smile on his face without her help, so how could she? His friends, Francis and Gilbert, and even Lovino tried to cheer him up. But the fact that his wife would die, and the fact he could do nothing to help, hung heavy in his mind. As the seconds on the clock ticked, so did the seconds she had left to live.

The precious moments Antonio got to spend with her was all he had left. He stayed with her every bit of the day he could, every second, even till her last breath. She went peacefully. Telling him she loved him until the heart monitor let out a long beep. Her eyes closed and she wore a smile on her peaceful face. The nurses soon took her away, and all Francis and Gilbert could do to comfort their friend was to put their hands on his shoulder as he quietly weeped.

A funeral soon took place. She was buried and she joined the many gravestones of the graveyard.

A Loving Wife
Smiled to the very end~

One by one, everyone left, until it was just Antonio and his two friends. Gilbert wanted to try cheer him up, but Francis said he needed to be left alone. Even they left too. Now Antonio was alone. He let out a big sigh.

Who was he going to share churros with? Who was he going to tease Lovino with? Who was he going to talk to when he felt sad? Who was he going to talk to when he felt lonely? How could he ever feel happy again? No one could fill the void in his heart but her. But she wasn't here anymore. All of those things he used to be able to do with her, they were all meaningless. They were gone.

Tears trickled down his cheeks as memories flooded through his head. From the day he met her, to the night he proposed. All of it was gone. The sun cast orange rays over the hill, in turn casting shadows from the graves. The wind blew gentle through the spaniards messy brown hair.

She was gone.

She was never coming back. Not ever.

It had been a good few hours that he'd been standing in front of (F/N)'s grave. He just couldn't drag himself away. He wasn't ready to say goodbye. He was never ready, even when the doctors had first told him that she wouldn't live. He wanted to spend his life with her, have a family with her. He loved her.

Antonio sometimes wished that time would just stop.

But he knew time only flowed forwards..
