"Ah I cant wait to see Paris. Jaspen told me about it last time he visited before going back to Sweden and, curse him and his poetic tongue, he made it seem to magical, "Damien toyed with her bangle, holding her mobile to her ear, "I'm still worried about how Lizzie, Tom and Annie will deal without my help."

The voice on the other end of the phone sighed, "they'll be fine. England's not that big of a place and I'm sure Alistor will give them a hand if they really need his help. Honest, I'm a little jealous that they've only got a small island to watch over. Try being me and Tori. We've gotta deal with North America and Mike is of little help," the speaker chuckled, "what I'm trying to say is, they'll be fine. You have fun in France ok and eat lots of food for me."

Damien laughed, "of course. Au revoir cherie."

"Talk later sugar."

The mobile beeped and the brunette stuffed it in her pocket. She grabbed her suitcase and jogged to her mother.

"There you are Dae. Come on the cars ready."

The teen stretched her arms, following her mother, "where in Paris are we moving to?"

Miss Francois smiled, "we're going to be in an apartment overlooking the river. I do believe it's called Boulevard Saint-Germain or something to that effect."

"Sound nice," Damien yawned, "I'm going straight to sleep when we get there. I can hardly keep my eyes open."

Her mother raised an eyebrow, "you're always tired. Are you sure you're getting enough sleep? It's not me is it? I know  come home late and all but I don't want to you be staying up waiting for me to-"

"Mum its fine. I'm getting loads of sleep. I'm just so pro-active that it's wearing me out, y'know." Damien shrugged, climbing into her mother's new car and marvelling at the heated seats.

Miss Francois laughed, "sweetheart, I don't think you even know the meaning of 'pro-active'. You never leave your room unless you're going to school or getting food. I dont think you even know how to run anymore."

"If only you knew," Damien muttered to her backpack, eliciting a soft giggle from the small creature residing there."

---------------------------

"Who do you think the new kid is?" Marinette whispered to Alya, leaning her chin on her palm.

Miss Bustier had informed her class that they would be expecting a new arrival and Mari was praying that they weren't a Chloe wannabe.

Alya shrugged, "who knows? I heard they're from Wales though but they're moving back to France."

"Oh, moving 'back'?" Marinette's eyebrows furrowed with intrigue when she heard the classroom door swing open.

"Ah you must be Damien. I'm Madame Bustier, welcome to my class."

Marinette watched a pale skinned girl with a fringe and twin buns in her hair linger in the doorway for a moment before pushing herself through the threshold. The girl smiled an easy smile and pushed a lock of hair behind her ear.

"Bonjour Madame. It's lovely to be here," Chloe muttered something to Sabrina and Marinette saw the new girls eyes narrow and flick over to the pair.

She rolled her eyes slightly before focusing her attention back to Miss Bustier.

"Class, this is Damien Francois and I would like you to treat her with the utmost respect like you do to each other," she smiled, "take a seat wherever there's space."

Damien's eyes swept the room, her bright orange lips pursing slightly before she moved to the back of the room. Marinette's eyes were drawn to the navy blue skirt she wore. It had cute little planets, constellations and moons on it and the bluenette was certain she even saw a few cartoonish spaceships dotted around. It was an interesting pattern to say the least.

Chloe not-so-slyly stuck her foot out but, much to the classes amusement and her own chagrin, Damien neatly sidestepped her and made her way to the desk behind Ivan.

Alya snickered and muttered something to Nino who grinned and nodded. Marinette heard something to do with 'Chloe's face' and smiled.

When class ended, the bluenette almost leapt out of her seat, intending to ask Damien where she'd gotten her skirt from because, as Alya had pointed out, 'it's super cute'. However, as per usual, it seemed Chloe had beaten her to the new girl. Marinette noticed that the brunette seemed to be ignoring the annoying blonde and the bluenette couldn't blame her.

"Oh my God, why would anyone wear orange lipstick?" Chloe loudly voiced, earning an agreeing sound from Sabrina.

Damien raised an eyebrow, glancing lazily at the blonde, "because I felt like it."

"Well it looks ugly on you," Chloe sneered, leaning toward Damien.

Her intimidation tactic failed, however, when the brunette chuckled and leaned on her desk. Their close proximity forced Chloe to take a step back as Damien smirked mischievously.

"Well darling, at least I can wipe of my lipstick," a gleam of victory flashed through her dark green eyes as she remarked, "you cant exactly wipe off your face now can you."

Alya shrieked with laughter, holding onto Marinette's arm. Nino slapped Adrien on the back as the class howled with laughter. Chloe spluttered in rage as Damien sauntered past her. The brunette gave Chloe a two fingered salute before slipping out of the class.

-----------------------

Damien entered the girls bathroom, a stupid grin on her face. She checked that the room was empty before opening her backpack.

"Hey Lorri. Do you have enough food? I'm sorry that you have to stay in there all day."

The mouse-like kwami inside floated up to settle on Damien's shoulder as the latter re-applied her lipstick.

"Of course, you always pack just enough," the grey creature smiled, "I'm ok staying in there until we leave school. It's only a few hours till we're back home."

"That's true. It's kinda weird not being in uniform at school. I feel like its mufty day not just an ordinary day," the brunette rolled her wrist, "I like the school though. It has a very nice layout. But besides that, did you find out anything on this Ladybug heroine. Do you think she'll need Petite Souris's help?"

Lorri nodded, "well she's helped fight of 'akumas' that have been attacking Paris. She gets help from a hero called Chat Noir. They're quite the duo."

Damien frowned, "what's an akuma?"

"From what I've gathered, its someone who's been filled with really negative emotions that they are then turned into villains by some Hawkmoth guy. Ladybug and Chat fight them and break the object housing the akuma so that Ladybug can de-evilise it and the villain is no longer under Hawkmoth's spell."
"Do you think they have Kwami's? Or is it something else?"

Before Lorri could answer, the toilet door opened, causing the kwami to drop back into Damien's bag. The brunette quickly zipped it up and turned to leave.

"Oh my God you were so cool! Nobody's really talked to Chloe like that!" a bubbly blonde girl squealed, leading a dark haired girl by the hand.
"So that's her name... eh, whatever, I don't really care what she's called," Damien shrugged, grabbing her backpack.

The blonde girl nodded, " I'm Rose and this is Juleka. It's nice to meet you."
Damien smiled," pleasure to meet you too. I like your hair Juleka. Interesting colour choice."
"Thanks," the noirette mumbled, the corners of her lips tilting up.

"No prob-" the bell rung, cutting Damien off, "we should probably get to class."
Rose and Juleka nodded, leaving the bathroom and the brunette followed, holding her bag close.
