You’re the sun. My sun. And I am the earth, I revolve around you. And everything depends on you, like the climate (my mood). When you’re sad or mad the sun’s not shining in my world. When you’re sad, it’s cloudy and cold, with light rains. Just like the winter, miserable and dreadful. When you’re mad there are storms, thunder and lighting, and hail. But when you are happy the sun is out, and shining brightly, showing off its beautiful radiance and warming the ground. It glows with purpose and reason, wanting to ignite the day and show off for all to see. When you are feeling my love, it’s like springtime with all the flowers and trees in bloom, and the birds singing and the sun shining brightly.
Even when we’re not together my happiness still depends on you. Even at night when the sun is not directly visible, the stars and moon still depend on its light to show off their brilliance. When you’re feeling down, it’s cloudy and you can’t see the stars or the moon, it’s a dark and cold night, with no direction. On the contrary when you are in a good mood the moon is out and the stars shine. When you’re feeling ecstatic and great, there is a huge full moon glowing proudly, and you can spot every constellation in the sky. The sun is always there, visible or not, just like you are always with me and a part of me, even when we’re not physically together.
Life forms and progress also depend on the sun. As does my motivation and dedication. With the sun out and shining, plants and trees and grass can take in the beautiful rays and make their food and grow and prosper. When my sun, you, is shining, I know I must do necessary things. I must do my homework, be nice to everyone, do my chores, and listen and obey my parents. All animals depend on the plants for life, for feeding, growth, and survival. My motivation for schoolwork pushes me to be successful because I know we must both prepare for our family and make money. I must listen to my parents so that they trust us and will let me see you, now and in the future. I should be nice to everyone and support others and give them a chance because I know it’s what you would want me to do and it is what is right.
You are also my gravity. You hold me to this earth, keep me sane. All my ties are to you, and they are strong. You keep my feet planted and my reasoning enhanced knowing anything I do could and does affect you. Gravity is always there, constant, just like your love is. Just like the sun you are always there, ever present and ever loving. I know I can trust you with my love, my time, my life, and my heart.
And just as God has made the earth, sun and moon, stars, plants and animals, and all creation, he has made you and me for each other.
