I woke up to someone kissing my neck. I groaned slightly and opened my eyes Tyler stood over me.
"Get off of me." I hissed as I pushed him off.
"What, you didn't miss me?" Tyler questioned as he stood over me. "Because I missed you, Rosey," He said. I slowly stood up rolling my eyes.
"Tyler," I sighed softly as I stared at him. "I don't know what to think. You and Klaus seem to believe I'm the most wonderful girl in the world." I said as I shook my head. "I'm not that wonderful, Tyler. I'm a vampire. I am sure there are better vampires out there." I said as I started to walk around him. He grabbed my arm.
"You are probably the best vampire in Mystic Falls." Tyler said as he said at me. I pushed away from him.
"Just leave me alone. Go back to blondie or something." I said as I walked out of the house. I just needed him to think I was gone. I didn't want to leave. This was my house, kind of.
After minutes of standing out there I could now hear Damon and Stefan talking inside, so I assumed that the hybrid was gone. Good, I was glad. I slowly walked back inside.
"I'm thinking gardenia corsage. Wrist obviously, you don't want to stab her accidentally in the chest with the pin now that could get messy." I could hear Damon say as I walked into where they were bickering.
"Why do you two also fight. 'Elena this' 'Elena that.' Get over yourselves." I grumbled slightly.
"Damon, I..." Stefan started to say, but before he could finish Damon was already walking out the door.
"So the dance is tonight, Rose." Stefan said as he looked at me. I just shrugged. I knew Tyler would be there and Klaus would too. "Will you come with me?" He asked.
"I don't know, Stef." I sighed. "I'm kind of trying to avoid people." I laughed slightly.
"My little sister preventing people?" He questioned. I wanted to stop him and say that I wasn't his sister that I was just some girl. I was pretty much just some girl. "You can come with me. We can avoid people together." He said. I just laughed.
"I thought you would take Elena." I said.
"There's no rule against me taking two girls is there?" He said. I just rolled my eyes.
----
I spent the next couple of hours getting ready for the dance. I couldn't find a dress, and I didn't know if I should ask someone for one. Maybe Elena would have one. I needed to become a better friend with her anyway.
I picked up Stefan's phone. He just left it lying around. He wasn't very smart sometimes. I navigated though the contacts and found Elena's. I took in a deep breath and dialed the number.
"Stefan?" A feminine voice that could only be Elena's answered the phone.
"No, not quite, it's Rose. Sorry, I didn't have your number, so I just used Stefan's phone." I said with a small sigh. "Look, Elena, I know we don't know each other very well, but I don't have anything to wear and I was wondering if I could barrow a dress."
"Of course you can Rose." She said. She was almost too kind. I nodded.
"Okay, I'll be right over." I said as I hung up the phone and told Stefan where I was going.
----
When it was all said and done. Elena had given me a dress. It was a beautiful dress and looked like something from the 1920's.
"So, I'm guessing this dance is the twenties." I smiled slightly as I looked at her. She nodded. Stefan came and picked us up talking with Elena about mushy girlfriend, boyfriend stuff.
