A few hours had passed from Elijah leaving the house, and Lydia was still sleeping peacefully.
Soon enough, her peaceful slumber was disturbed by her dream turning horrid. Cruel things were displayed across her mind, causing her to toss and turn in the covers.
Lydia sat upright quickly, her green eyes wide as she panted slightly. Her green orbs darted around before they landed on Elijah who was sat at the edge of the bed.
"It's okay, princess. It was only a bad dream, no reason to be afraid, I'm here now." He said calmly, as she nodded slowly.
Elijah slipped into the bed beside her, encasing the strawberry blonde in his arms.
"It was horrid, Elijah." She muttered against his chest, her eyes closed.
"I know, kitten." He frowned, before placing a kiss on her forehead. He was glad he had gotten back just in time to be there for her.
"I love you, Elijah." She murmured, her head rested on his chest.
"I love you too, Lydia." He replied, rubbing her arm comfortingly.

The pair had fallen asleep in each others arms, Elijah keeping Lydia safe and sound, as he was also company if the nightmares came back.
Lydia's leg was draped over Elijah's legs, her arm across his chest while the other was to her side. Her head rested on his upper chest.
Elijah's arm was wrapped around her waist, while the other hand held Lydia's leg that was draped across him, his hand rested on her thigh.
Both slept peacefully with no disturbances, the cover keeping them warm.
The room had grew dark, the sunlight no longer peered through the window. Instead, the moonlight fell to the wooden floor and onto the bed.
Luckily, a set of string lights were lit up, that hung over Lydia's bed, giving the pair a source of light.
Elijah's eyes slowly opened, as he looked to Lydia. She was in a peaceful sleep, making him smile. The soft glow of the string lights fell onto her face, making her more beautiful than before.
Deciding to wake Lydia up in a gentle way, Elijah dipped down, only to place kisses from her jaw line to her neck.
Lydia squirmed slightly at his actions, before her green hues fluttered open.
Elijah finished placing the kisses around her neck, a proud look on his face.
"Why are you waking me up? We might as well stay asleep." Lydia yawned cutely, as she looked at Elijah.
"Because, Kitten, I want you. Those few nights ago when I proved you were mine? I want that again." Elijah spoke quietly.
"As much as I'd love to, I'm tired and I want to sleep. If you're brother leaves the house tomorrow, I'm all yours." She said softly.
"Fine, but if Nicklaus doesn't leave, you owe me, Kitten. Now go back to sleep." Elijah said, stroking Lydia's head gently.
