It's been a few weeks since my escape from Joes house. I recovered soon after and was back on my feet helping out. We eventually went back to the town and brought back some people. Some were kids and adults. They were afraid of Joe and his men.... I don't blame them. We settled them into a temporary cell block before we could clear another. Which we were heading out today to do.
"You ready Riles?" Daryl called to me
"Yeah be there in a sec." I said slipping my jacket on. "Just let me grab my guns" I said wrapping my leg holster around my right leg. It was the last thing I needed, my other weapons were already on me. "Okay ready." I said hopping of the last step "Hey cults" I called to Ryan
"I'm coming!" Ryan said running out of his cell and into Alex's
"Wake up dip shit we gotta go." Ryan said smacking Alex with a pillow
"I'm up I'm coming just calm down." Alex said before joining us
"You two girls ready now?" Daryl asked Ryan and Alex
"You two are so much alike." Alex said
"Tell me about it." I said smiling
We walked down the hall to our right and followed it Cell Block F. This is where our new guests would stay since D was already full from our last trip to the town. It was quite down here for awhile. That was until we heard some growling and shuffled footsteps.
"Here we go." Daryl said "Fire"
There were a lot of walkers one right after another. Plus it was dark which made it even more challenging to see where you were aiming. Swish!Thud! My arrow left my bow and instantly hit soft flesh. I reloaded and repeated the process over and over again. Finally there were all gone. I shown my flashlight on the walkers and collected all my arrows. I pulled out one arrow and looked at the walker. It was different. It had blood trailing out of it's eyes. We all examined the walker and assumed it was nothing before dragging them out of the hallway and onto the flatbed trailer. We then finished clearing all the walkers out. Then burned all them away from the prison. It was a lot of work but it made a lot more room for us to use.
"Okay Rick Cell Block F is ready they can move in now." Daryl said leading us all back into the main cell block
"Thanks guys." He said "Okay everyone follow me with you thangs and you can pick a cell and settle in.
"Mm I'm gonna go get a shower so if you need me you know where to find me." I said telling them where I would be
"Okay talk to you later." Ryan said as him and Alex left
I was just about finished getting dressed from my shower when I heard coughing. I looked around and didn't see anyone.
"Pete you alright?" I asked seeing he was the one I heard coughing
"Yeah I'm fine. It's just a tickle in my throat don't worry a shower and a drink of water should make it feel better." He said
"Okay good luck." I said walking back upstairs to the cells
