When I lift my head up with my hair in my face all covered in tears I could barely see that it was mom. Mom had come in to see if I was okay, "yeah, I'm fine." I answered blubbering, trying to catch my breath. "I wished dad and I would get closer and get along." I sighed, "yeah" agreed mom. I got up off my bed and went into the bathroom to wash off my face off with cold water, that felt so fresh on my face. I caught my breath and told mom I was going to say sorry to dad and make up to him and apologize. So I walk up to dad's room and walk in slowly, but dad had already seen me and told me to come in. Dad says "Mady I am sorry for being so hard on you all the time, I just want to make you the ball player you can possibly be." "Dad you really think that about me.... I love you." I run into his arms and give him a hug and could tell that he really meant it. The time was 10:30 and I was getting really tired and told mom that I was going to bed and good night. She said "goodnight" back to me.
The next day I got up at about 8 and remembered that I had basketball practice today, and what dad had said to me that night. Try your best and thats all he ask's, I am going to try the hardest I have ever practiced before. A few hours later I am getting ready for basketball practice and get my shorts on and my socks, slides and t-shirt on. As I am still in my room I hear mom yelling my name to come down and get in the car to leave. I yell back to her okay coming down, I slip on my slides and quickly move down the stairs and run out the front door. When I get in the car I told mom I was going to do really good at practice, I could tell she sounded really confused at first. We got to the gym and all my teammates were there shooting around in the gym waiting for everyone to arrive. I said hey to all my teammates and friends, they said "great job last game Mady." "Thanks" I said to everyone. Coach walked in and said "Lets start practice." The first drill we did was a passing drill and I passes the ball as hard as I could to Alexis. She said "Nice passes today Mady." I said "thanks" After practice was over I slipped my shoes off and put my slides on. Mom's car was waiting outside the school for me to hop into, she asked "hoe was practice?" I said " I did amazing." "Really" she said with enthusiasm. As soon as we went home I ran right up to dads room and told him hoe great I did at practice today. He said he was so proud of me .
