"Piplup and Pachirisu, go!" Jocelyn said, releasing both Pokemon onstage. "Piplup-piplup! Chiwa!" The two of them excitedly exclaimed. "Umbreon and Espeon, spotlight!" Mariah decides, sending out her duo. "Umbre! Espe!" They purred. "Okay, lets get started! Piplup, Whirlpool!" Jocelyn commanded. "Piiipluuuuup!" He roared, leaping into the air, his tiny body illuminating with a wavy, blue light as a supersized twister of water formed overhead. "Wow..." Mariah said, eyeing the massive whirlpool as she lost specks of her points. "And so, Jocelyn kicks things off with a humongous Whirlpool attack!" Marian reported. "Pachirisu, Discharge!" Jocelyn continued. "Chi! Chiwa-chiiii!" Pachirisu smiled, electrifying her cheeks before springing above the whirlpool, shocking the entire thing with bright blue lightning waves, causing the large attack to be encircled with electric waves as Piplup then whipped it off at Espeon and Umbreon.

"Hm! Espeon, give yourselves a Psychic boost!" Mariah called. "Espe!" She nodded, her eyes momentarily flashing blue, as did her and Umbreon's bodies. Suddenly, they jetted off at practically the speed of light, a trail of white tailing off their backsides as they zipped past the oncoming whirlpool, landed behind it, then slid to a stop before soaring back off their feet after the whirlpool, flying in front of it, then taking off to the sky in sync. "Aah! How are they so fast! They're not even using Quick Attack or anything!" Jocelyn gasped, watching her foe's Pokemon race around. "Amazing! Espeon and Umbreon are moving faster than the naked eye can keep up with!" Marian announced. "Shadow Ball and Zap Cannon!" Mariah smirked. "Uuuuum! Speeee!" They growled, flying down toward the stage. The two of them gently landed together, sliding a couple feet while turning to face the incoming whirlpool. Speedily, they formed their respective attacks, then unleashing them. The Zap Cannon and Shadow Ball circled around each other while tearing across the stage quickly. Brutally, they slammed directly into the whirlpool, ripping right through the attack before plowing head-on into Pachirisu and Piplup, knocking them way down the field, flipping and sliding to a stop. "Chiwa! Lup!" They whined, after getting hit. "Are you guys okay?!" Jocelyn shouted, losing half a quarter of her points on the spot.

"Damn! Espeon and Umbreon are beasts! They were toying around with that Discharge-powered Whirlpool and wasted no time knocking it and Piplup and Pachirisu outta commission!" Marian said, the crowd cheering for Mariah. "She's good...." Jocelyn told herself, "Okay, different tactic! Piplup, Bubblebeam!" "Piiiplup-lup-lup!" He bellowed, hopping into the sky before blasting down a barrage of baby blue, thick bubbles, to which Espeon and Umbreon backflipped away from. However, by the time they landed and looked up, a 20 foot wall of stacked bubbles had formed, Pachirisu suddenly flying out from the top, catching their attention. "What the?!" Mariah cried. "Super Fang!" Jocelyn finished. "Chiiiiwaaaaa! Uuum! Espeee!" Pachirisu snarled, tucking herself into a small razor ball before slashing in-between Umbreon and Espeon, knocking them both to opposite sides. "Ouch! Jocelyn had a plan up her sleeve! Using Bubblebeam to distract Umbreon and Espeon while preparing Pachirisu for the attack!" Marian analyzed, Mariah losing just less than half a quarter of points.

"Awesome! It worked!" Jocelyn outburst, Piplup and Pachirisu simultaneously cheering with her. "Nice job, but...There's still 3 minutes left and my Pokemon have barely even warmed up." Mariah daringly said, giving Jocelyn a challenging look. "Kh!" Jocelyn scoffed, "Hydro Pump!" "Luuuuup!" Piplup roared, firing off a wickedly powerful funnel of high pressure water. "Zap Cannon!" Mariah countered. "Speeooon!" Espeon squealed, forming the attack before shooting off. The Zap Cannon raced at full speed, smashing right into the Hydro Pump, causing a burst of steam to break out from electricity making contact with water, causing both girls to lose more points. "Evenly matched? Pachirisu, use Spark!" Jocelyn requested. "Chiiiii!" She sang, concealing her squirrel-like body in neon blue lightning. "Dark Pulse, on the stage!" Mariah ordered. "Umbre!" He cried, smashing his attack into the ground, kicking up a tidal wave of ghostly dust all across the stage, cutting off Pachirisu's vision of her enemies. "Chiwa?!" Pachirisu gasped, her Spark fizzling down as she, in a confused state of mind, looked around, the whole stage covered with shadowy mist, causing Jocelyn to lose half a quarter more of her points, now on the half line.

"Oh my! The stage has been concealed with all this dark fog from Umbreon's Dark Pulse!" Marian replied, the judges leaning over their podiums to try and get a better view of the stage. "Piplup, Pachirisu, keep a sharp eye out!" Jocelyn advised her Pokemon, both of them nodding in response. After moments of silence, "Alright, forget it. Pachirisu, Discharge! Piplup, Whirlpool!" Jocelyn said. "Chiiiiwaaaaa!" Pachirisu roared, unleashing omni-directional blasts of electricity, shocking the shadowy mist all around her. Meanwhile, Piplup formed a mega-sized watery cyclone, the energy and rotation from the attack causing the mist to wrap itself up in it, soon covering the entire whirlpool with fog while the stage cleared up. "Smart thinking! Pachirisu's Discharge and Piplup's Whirlpool have wiped the arena clean of that mist!" Marian announced, Mariah losing half a quarter of her points, nearing Jocelyn's. "Zap Cannon!" Mariah shouted. "Espe!" Espeon instantly shot off her thunderous orb, exploding on contact with the fog-wrapped Whirlpool, causing it to burst into a downpour of water on the entire stage, shocking Piplup as his attack broke from over his head, Jocelyn losing more points.

"We're now in our last minute of the battle and Mariah is maintaining the lead!" Marian reported. "Alright, Piplup, spinning Bubblebeam! Pachirisu, Discharge!" Jocelyn commanded. "Piiiiplup-lup-lup! Chiwaaaa!" The two of them nodded, Piplup backflipping into the sky before raining down massive bubbles as Pachirisu leapt out, electrifying each one of them, the lightning infused bubbles racing at Espeon and Umbreon at full speed, Mariah's points now landing on half. "A fusion attack! Piplup's Bubblebeam has been covered with electricity from Pachirisu's Discharge! The combination of water and electricity is beautiful!" Marian cooed. "Psychic." Mariah scoffed. Immediately, Espeon brought each and every one of the electrified bubbles to a stop in mid air, the crackling bubbles gorgeously shimmering in the light of the sun while in place. "Aah!" Jocelyn gasped, now her points landing on the final quarter. "Uh oh! Espeon still remains in control of this match, as she stopped that fusion attack without hesitation!" Marian noted. "Umbreon, Swift!" Mariah finished. "Umbreeee!" The dark Pokemon exclaimed, firing off dozens of golden stars from his glowing tail, each one of them piercing open the stopped bubbles, bursting into combined golden and blue sparkles, fluttering over the stage and raining down on everyone, Jocelyn losing more specks of points.

"Seems like Jocelyn just can't pull ahead! Espeon held Piplup and Pachirisu's attack still, then Umbreon went in for the kill!" Marian stated. Suddenly, a bell dinged, as the clock reached 0:00. "Aaaaand, time's up!" Marian called, catching everyone's attention, "After that rigorous, alluring battle of strategy and skill, the outcoming winner of the last battle of the Quarter Final stage is....Mariah, with her Espeon and Umbreon!" "Yeaaaaaaah! Woooooo! Go, Mariah!" The audience screamed, as Mariah's, Espeon's and Umbreon's photos took over the big screen with Winner above their pictures. "Yes! Umbreon, Espeon, you two were amazing!" Mariah smiled, picking up both her Pokemon, the two of them purring. "Now that the last Quarter Final match is done, we can now move onto the Semi Finals!"
