Before when I was walking it seemed as though I was walking to my death, but now that I had Alec to walk with constantly keeping my mind busy I was much less lonely. I had faith again, and I knew I was going to be able to save my city. How? At this point I didn't really know, but I was confident in my goddess that I did not need to know the answer at this time. I pushed all the thoughts out of my mind and let ALec's talking turn into a distant buzz, hardly paying any attention to his babbling.

We walked for about three days straight resting every so often for Alec, and the horse. I did not want to admit it to them, but I felt amazing! Not once did I need to rest, more eat or drink. Even at night I scarcely slept, but when I did I got these strange dreams that I found were close on how to use my new powers. One fact I learned was that I was part immortal. My mother was a wealthy maiden born of a half blood and a human woman. This didn't surprise me because the oracles had always took a liking to me for some unknown reason, but this made sense and it also made my powers even more intense. I also learned that I didn't need to eat or drink anymore, but sleep was needed to heal my body. Unlike regular gods I am still half mortal and can be killed in combat when pushed to hard.

The next morning I awoke feeling fresh and ready to move out of our current location. Alec and I had only been walking a short distance when we saw a large dust cloud moving in our direction. Alec hopped onto his horse's saddle and pulled me up by the waist. A small yelp escaped my lips from the jerk of him pulling e up onto the saddle with him effortlessly.

" Lady Henna we have to run!" Alec sounded urgent. I nodded and slid my other leg over the horse and we urged the horse as fast as we could with two people on it. my hair flaped behind me hard, but I pushed my head against Alec's back and wrapped my hands around his waist. I felt the heat of his body against my cheek and chest, strangly it felt normal, and peacful like I had been in this position with him a million times before this. I shoke my head to erase thoughts of him an dto focus on our currently gaining problem. I could now see the outline of three men galloping towards us. I focused harder and like magic my vision zoomed up to the mystery men. I blinked, the fixed vision vanished. I tried again even harder this time and found that it worked again, I laughed gleefully and described the mysterious charecters to Alec.

"Alec! The riders are three men, they look like thieves with alot of scars. They are wearing armor from different villiages, and cities." He turned around and narrowed his eyes at me before turning back to face forward.

" How do you know what they look like?"

" It is to difficult to explain right now just give me your sword and stop the horse!" I yelled to him. I did not know why, but I felt confident. I wanted to fight these men, by myself. It was my turn to protect someone.

" Are you crazy? Henna you are a woman you can not fight them you are not strong enough!" This statement got me angry. I released my grip on alecs waist and grabbed the hilt of his sword leaving the sheath on his belt. I let my self fall off the horse, and I hit the ground. Hard. I rolled from where I fell a couple feet my body acheing. I sucked in air through clenched teeth to fight the buring pain searing through my sholder ands rib cage. I stiffly turned around to see Alec cursing and turning his horse around to probably come pick me up and start running, but I would not go so easily this time. I was turned away from Alec and towards the fast approaching enemy.

" Henna get the hell over here!" I ignored him and stood with my arm hanging to my side, the long sword dragging against the dry ground. They were closer now and I could here Alec yelling louder and louder now, but I continued to ignore him. I was ready. Ready. The men started trotting towards us.
