Background Knowledge: You are a human in this book. You may be something else elsewhere, but in here, you are human. You will be referred to as, Y/N, got it? Good. The picture above is of something that comes later in this chapter. This chapter is in third person point of view if you get confused. It will be shorter than most later chapters because this is only a introduction. This version is for males. If you are transgender then you can choose either book. Got all of that information? Let's continue.

(Y/N) had gone to an old museum earlier that day. He had accidentally bumped into a charm when he was pushed by a girl walking quickly to the exit. After being hit, he yelled at her and failed to notice touching the object. Little did (Y/N) know, it had been a binding charm to bind whoever touched it to two angels and two demons. The charm was a yin and yang pattern though it had a more magical aura to it. It was instead a red and blue, not black and white. It signified Heaven and the underworld.

As he was walking home from the museum, weird things were happening. On the right side of (Y/N), things were perfectly fine. The sky was cloudy, but rays of sunlight that looked majestic shined down upon Earth as if from the Heavens. It was bustling with life and lots of people looked happy. A dog walked past (Y/N) and didn't seem to have a care in the world. It looked very peaceful and beautiful.

However, on the left side of (Y/N), the clouds did not show any sunlight. Dark clouds were coming over from his left and people looked miserable. Dogs were barking at any pedestrians daring to look at them. A few pieces of trash floated by as a large gust of wind knocked (Y/N)'s favorite hat off his head. He grumbled a bit about bad luck, but continued on. The town looked horrible on that side.

Shaking off the weird experience outside, (Y/N) finally got to his apartment building. It was a pretty nice one with good air conditioning, no bugs, and much more luxuries that most do not have. As he walked past everyone else's doors, people on the right side were fine, but the ones on the left were not good. There were crashes, screams, and curses. (Y/N) got the uncomfortable feeling of being watched, but continued onward.

(Y/N) hurried into his apartment and slammed the door. He slid down the door and thought about how weird his day was after going to the museum. After thinking for a long time, he got a headache from all of the questions rattling around in his head. He decided to watch some television to maybe help soothe his aching head.

(Y/N) flopped onto the couch and grabbed the remote. He flipped through the channels until he finally settled on his favorite movie (It's you reader's choice!). He closed his eyes, but just as he was drifting off, his TV screen started glitching. Sparks of color danced around, constantly moving and never staying in one spot. The once bright sparks were drained of color into a plain black and the background drained into a light gray.

The now black sparks came together to form words and the gray just flickered slightly. The words sent chills up (Y/N)'s spine. "Night, night." was spelled out on the screen. A little girl's voice rang out from what seemed like all around (Y/N), but she knew that that was not the case.

The little girl's voice said exactly what the screen said though in a creepier fashion. Her voice sounded so innocent yet you could hear the evil smile on her face as she said those words. It was only a split second, but it felt like an eternity to (Y/N). He looked around wildly until a chloroform-soaked rag went over his mouth. His eyelids felt heavy and his vision faded into black. Lifeless eyes and a reaching out hand were the last thing he saw as he was pulled into the world of unconsciousness.
