I looked up, startled. A tall young man was staring at me, his bright hair sticking in every direction. "Hey, kid, shouldn't you be sitting with the freshmans in the lunchroom, instead of out here?"
I shook my head, staring at the beautiful boy standing before me.
"I'm a senior, like my brother," I said. He tilted his head. "Twins?" He asked. I shook my head once again. "He was in rehab for one year." He nodded.
Why am I telling a stranger this?
He sat down beside me.
"You're really tiny," he said. "You sure you're a senior?" His lips curved into a wicked grin.
I nodded, biting my lip as I looked away.
He sighed. "Hey, got anything you don't want?" He pointed to my lunch bag.
I handed him the rest of my sandwich, and he scarfed it down. I handed him my lunch bag.
"Hey, you gotta eat too," he said, staring at my lunch bag. I shook my head. "I'm not hungry. Besides, you're huge and pretty muscular. You need it more that I do."
He looked at me, unsure. I shoved my lunch into his chest, then gestured to my small body. "I'm literally half as tall as you, and I don't have or need your muscle." I shrugged, drinking my capri sun.
He grinned, pulling an orange out. "Meliodas told me about a girl like you. Her name was Ellen or something...?"
"Elaine," I corrected. He nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! I'm good friends with her brother, King. Also Elizabeth, but me and Diane go back a little further." He looked up at me. "Know where to find Elaine?"
I smiled, looking down.
"I'm Elaine," I said softly, looking back up. "And you are?"
"Whoa, shy Elaine is speaking to bad boy Ban," I heard King say, laughing. I looked over in his direction. I jumped when I saw him recording. "Were you there the whole time?" I asked, paling. He nodded. "Yup!" He said, popping the "p".
I jumped and ran to the girls bathroom.
"Oh, um, h-hi, Elaine," Elizabeth said as I opened the girls bathroom door.
Meliodas was currently kissing the crook of Elizabeth's neck, and his hands were sliding up her shirt.
"Guys!" I exclaimed, blushing. I ran back out of the girls restroom, bumping into Ban's chest. "Hey," he said, arching his eyebrow.
I bit my lip and ran off again, darting out of the school building. I unlocked my car and jumped in, then sped out of the parking lot. All I was going to miss was P.E., art and French. I'm passing P.E. and French, and no one will miss me or my stick figures in art.
