I creeped up on God. Seeing him work. It was truly beautiful. He swirled around making mountains and trees and waters. He made a being that was in his image. He made another being, also in his image as well. After only a week, the whole new world was perfect. He laid down and rested. By the time he was done I wasn't the only person who had watched him. A group of people surrounded him. After the Earth made one full revolution and faced back to the sun, God stood up. We watched him signal us to him. All of us quickly stood in a single line before him. I tried to push my way to him, I had been the first to see him, but they wouldn't let me past. One by one he gave us jobs. The first person was the giver of life. She would deliver babies from women. The next one was in charge of wildlife. And so on and so on. Each job seemed important and impressive. Finally after what seemed like forever, I got to the front of the line. Gods smiling face looked down at me. I was filled with happiness. It was a truly magnificent sight. "Hello there." He said to me with his deep, musical voice.

"Hi." I squeaked.

"What job would you like?" He asked me.

I almost jumped with giddyness. He wanted to know what I wanted. I thought for a couple of seconds. "Something important!"

He nodded. "How about the bringer of death."

My mouth made an O. I nodded fascinated. "You will bring the humans to me at the end of their time on Earth."

I nodded, speechless. I walked out of the line and watched him give jobs to the others. I thought about my job. Death, it was a cool name. I really had no thoughts about what exactly I would do. That is until Adam died.

Adam was an important part in the making of populating the large planet. Once he died, his sons were charged with his task. Adam grew to an old age and was about to die. It was my time to shine. For many years I stood next to God's throne, useless. Now I went down to earth next to Adam. I grabbed his hand and came back to heaven with Adam in tow. Once Adam set foot near the throne he knelt. I grinned up at God. He gave me a smile and a nod, and in was filled with joy. I went back and stood next to his throne again. Year after year I brought the humans up to heaven. Most of them seemed sad when they left, but were happy once they saw God. I watched God banish the corrupted Satan. I watched loved humans die. I watched the Earth be covered in people and buildings. Many times I stretched myself really thin with my job. It tool a lot of energy to bring all the people who died to heaven. Not every time I brought them to heaven. Much of the time I had to bring them to hell. I got a sad feeling in my heart when I brought them. Satan was evil and horrible. I left as quickly as I could each time. Soon the humans thought of me as working for Satan. I didn't. I helped God. It was supposed to be a happy occasion. All of their pain and suffering gone. Gone from their bodies and their minds.

I made a pattern, every time I brought someone from earth. I would tell them "Death is not the end."

It relaxed them as they went to see the creator of Earth, and themselves.
