"Goddamn it, Caden." She yelled, snapping her fingers in Caden's, now bright red face.
"Pay attention, we're at your cafe, next time I'm not driving you." Caden stepped out of her girlfriend's car, unaware if she was joking or not.
"Bye, I love you!" Caden yelled, as her girlfriend sped off, nearly hitting a tree. She had to admit herself, that she always got attached to people, too attached. These cloudy thoughts fogged her brain as she put on the mandatory work apron. The rush hour of coffee shops are terrible, especially for the workers there.
"I'd like a black coffee, please, name's Chris." The man in bright blue hair asked softly, looking down at his shoes.
"Okay, it'll be right up, Sir." She turns to face the machine, only to hear laughter.
"I'm just fucking with you, I'm gonna be your new partner here. So move over, honey." Chris enthusiastically chimes, walking over to Caden.

"Hey, Caden, right?" Chris ran up to her before she could clock out, giving her a shriek.
"Uhm, yeah, do you need anything?" She asks, annoyed that she actually had to walk home, at night.
"Actually, I thought I could walk you home, it's not really safe in this part of town, to be honest." He sweetly states, grabbing his scarf, wrapping it generously around his neck.
"Thanks, I think I actually do need you here." Caden murmered, clocking out for the night, breathing a sigh of relief. That sigh immediately being depleted, as she stepped outside, the cold hitting her lungs.
"H-hey, uhm can I ask you something for a friend?" She suddenly speaks up, after 10 minutes of silent walking.
"Of course, honey, I'm the one to come to, always." Chris cheerily agrees, looking at the night sky, listening to Caden.
"Okay, so my friend has a girlfriend, but she also likes this girl that she sees almost everyday, what should she do?" Her stomach drops as she notices the lights off in her house, it could mean anything.
"Well, it depends on if her girlfriend is a good girlfriend, like she can't just ditch someone she supposedly loves, so, she should try to get to know the girl." Chris bursts out laughing at the look on Caden's face.
"Why do you look so scared, you're not the friend, right?" And before Chris could even finish a thought, she walked out if the house. Caden's girlfriend walks straight up to Caden, grabbing her arm, pushing her into the house. Leaving Chris, to walk away, confused as all hell.
"Who was that?" She asked in a stern voice, locking eyes with her girlfriend.
"New guy at work, you're getting too protective." Caden laughs, making her way to the backyard, being stopped by a grip.
"Don't fucking walk away from me, especially after you've cheated all night long." Stacy growls, gripping harder onto Caden's already paper like wrists. "You're hurting me Stacy". Caden could feel the grip getting tighter and tighter. "Why would you cheat on me!" Stacy said with a angry but almost crying face. "I'm not cheating on you, you're acting crazy". Stacy could feel the tension rising up in Caden's voice. "I lo-". Before Caden could finish her sentence, Stacy slapped her and Caden could feel the burning feeling on her cheek. She stood there in shock.
"I want you gone you, whore". Stacy said with a disgusted and angry feeling on her face. Caden walks out of the house, heartbroken and weakly. Caden stood, confused, as to why would Stacy think,Chris and her did that together. She put her hand on her cheek and rubbed her cheeks softly, circling the red spot.
