Gwen's POV
I was so nervous and excited for today I was racking my brain on what I was going to wear. This was my first date In like 20 years so me being nervous is an understatement.
I had an hour till I had to Blake's house. We decided I'll drive over so no one sees Blake coming over. I take a shower and put on a light layer of makeup. I pick a short black dress that goes up to mid thigh, hopefully to look nice for him.
I look over at my phone to see that is time to leave. As I'm In the car I feel my stomach doing flips. I'm not really used to dating I only dated three other guys Tony, Gavin, and Dylan ,which didn't last long. I listen to music trying to calm my nerves.
When I arrive I park in the driveway and knock on the door with still a lit bit of nerves left. When he opens the door his jaw literally drops, he doesn't look to bad either he is wearing blue jeans a blue button up with a suit jacket on.
"Hey Sunshine" he says with the biggest smile which makes any nerves I had left disappear.
"Hey Cowboy"I go into hug him and the hug last a little longer than usual.
He takes my hand and drags me to the kitchen where I see spaghetti and salads on the side. There are nice candles in the center creating a nice ambiance.
"Here take a seat." He says pulling my chair out for me. He takes a seat on the other side of the table and we fall into a light and easy conversation like we've known each other for years.
As we start to finish dinner we make our way over to the couch and watch what ever movie that pops up. As the evening goes on I accidentally put my head on his shoulder and quickly lift it.
"It's okay Sunshine you can lean on me" he says lifting his arm for me to lay on him.
Blake's POV
Before I know it Gwen is asleep and I don't have the heart to wake her so I move to get up so she can sleep. As I go to get up I feel her arms wrapping around my arm tugging me back to the couch.
"Please don't leave, just lay with me please" She says in a tired voice.
"Ok darling, but I don't want you to be uncomfortable, are you sure?" She nods giving me permission. I grab the blanket resting on the couch draping it on top of us as I lay down next to her.
She rest her head on my chest falling back to sleep. I follow her with a content smile on my face.
