Chapter Ten

Megan sat at her computer as she finished editing her new video with the pictures she had taken all week while at the horses but she had Tucker in the pictures too. She smiled as she watched the video to make sure everything was perfect. Then she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and put her hands on them because she knew it was Jake.

"How did you get Tucker to sit still for these pictures?" Jake asked as he sat on another chair.

"Chicken." Megan replied with a smirk on her face. "I used chicken pieces and it worked long enough to get the pictures."

"They're really good pictures. You should've decided to do this sooner."

"I really didn't know what I wanted to do. All I knew was that I wanted to do something with animals." Megan finally finished putting the touches on it and then published it to YouTube.

"I'm proud of you." Megan turned around and looked at Jake. "Let's go get some food."

Jake and Megan stopped at a place that had healthy food. They were about half way into eating when Megan's phone dinged. She pulled her phone out to see a bunch of comments on her new video. She smiled as she read the comments.

"What are reading?" Jake asked as he continued to chew his food.

"Comments on the video." Megan replied as she scrolled through the notifications.

"Good or bad?"

"So far, good but I'm prepared for the bad. Somebody always has something negative to say about the horses or Tucker."

"Why would they say bad things about them?"

"Because Tucker is a Bulldog, people think he'll attack somebody. I really don't know why people have bad things to say about the horses."

After they finished eating, they went back to the house but hid in their bedroom. Megan stood in the bathroom as she looked in the mirror. She smiled when she saw Jake come up behind her and wrap his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing, just thinking." Megan replied and she turned around, leaning against the sink. Jake put his hands on the counter on either side of her.

"Thinking about what?"

"Everything. Especially my parents. It's been quiet on their end. My mom hasn't tried to call me."

"And that makes you upset?"

"A little. At least I knew she cared a little bit enough to call and try to talk to me."

"You didn't really wanna talk to her anyway."

"I know."

"You have all of us here and my parents even if your family doesn't support your choices." Megan sighed. Jake leaned forward and pecked Megan's lips.

"I need to take a shower."

"You're just trying to escape talking about it." Megan pushed Jake back slightly making him smirk.

"And I think you're just trying to get laid right now." Jake shrugged his shoulders.

"If I was?" Megan smiled and walked towards Jake until his back hit the wall. She rested her hands on his hips, making him smirk.

"I have to say that when I first saw you, I thought were a little bit attractive." Megan said as Jake wrapped his arms around her back.

"A little bit?" Jake asked and Megan nodded. "You were kinda cute too."
