"Katrina get up now!"my mom said I look at the time 12:00 am. I knew why she wanted me up. I threw off my covers and got my Golden Retriever named Golden then ran to the barn.When I was in the barn honey golden's mom and buddy golden's dad barked at me. "Down dogs!"I commanded I put Golden with her bothers and sisters. Then I ran to my favorite mare's stall, her name is Dixie.My dad was already there. No sooner my mom came with my sister Emma. I looked down at a new member of our barn. "Look at that filly."my dad said. "What should we call her?" Mom asked. "Rose." I said. "Great name, mom can she be my horse please?" Emma asked " Maybe we should give her to Katrina." She smiled at me."Really she's going to be my horse? Oh thank you so much!"" Now it's late let's get to bed. "
I was in bed but I couldn't sleep. So I grabbed Golden and went the barn. When I was at the barn Honey an Buddy barked at me."shhhhhhh your going to get me in trouble!"I whispered so quietly to buddy and honey. Other mares had fouls before so I knew how to handle Dixie. Dixie jump up with her ears back. She turned around and look at me for a minute then her ears went back again. "It's ok I just want to see her." She walked away so I could see her. She looked at me with her rare blue eyes. She is a paint horse that had white and brown. I got a good look at her when Dixie covered her up. "Ok ok I'm going." Then I went back to bed.
The next morning I woke up at 5:00 am to start the breakfast. I made the bacon and pancakes. My family came running down they loved my bacon. We ate breakfast then Emma and I stared the chores.
We fed the chickens and got there eggs. Then we fed then horses. I went to see my dad. " let's get to work." "Ok "I said then I ran to Rose." Hi Dix hi rose." They look at me Dix got up rose wasn't sure what was going on. Dix nudged her filly then rose got up.i put a hulter on Dixie then lead her to my dad. The I went back to hulter Rose. I hultered Rose and lead her to the yard.my dad showed me how to train a horse. "First we brush her." I knew how to brush a horse but not a filly. "So get the soft brush and lightly brush her." So I did. "Next is just get her trust." "Hi Rose," I said petting her. "Good I thinks she trusts you a little bit." Dad said. I smiled. "Lunch is ready!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. "We'll work tomorrow." Then we ran to the kitchen after putting the horses in the paster.
"Let's go on a train ride." Emma said after lunch. "Sure but Katrina would have to ride Sweet." Mom said. "Ok." I said. I love Sweet an Apalusa but Dixie is my favorite. We got the horses and went on the easiest trail because Emma is still luring how to ride. I want to go back and see Rose and Dixie. So I did "Let's go to the river and play games like clue." Ok do you know the way back?" She asked. "Ya." I said turning around. When I was home I got cards, broad games, and a big picnic blanket. Then I went to the river I wanted to see Rose and Dix but I didn't. My family was at the river when I got there. We played uno and clue then went home. "
What so you want for dinner?" Mom asked. "Hamburgers." "Ok let's get grilling." We ate diner then watched my favorite movie pitch perfect. Then went to bed.
All night I was thinking why are they being so nice to me? Well maybe they felt bad about giving Emma all the attention last week.
I woke up in the morning because I herd my parents yelling at each other. I cried when I herd why they were yelling.
