sugar and sand

A merchant comes in the emperor's palace and asks the latter the permission to take a    test of the witty and clever Birbal . The emperor grants him the permission to take a test of Birbal . The merchant mixes an amount of sand and sugar and asks Birbal         to separate the sugar from the sand . Birbal asks for one day . The next day all  the courtiers and King Akbar come to the palace 's garden where Birbal had told them to come .  Birbal guides them towards a big mango tree where they see many ants running here and there . Birbal tells them that the sand and the sugar have been separated as the ants have taken away all the sugar .Emperor Akbar gives  Birbal another mischievous smile as  always
