Candy's pov
It was the first day of school I did not want to go,but I had to keep my identity safe and what I was safe only my best friend Aubrey knows the truth and that is how it should stay. I got up and changed then got into my car and started driving. I arrived a little late with 5 minutes left before 1 period so went to grab my stuff from my locker in till I smelled chocolate and marshmallows? What was that?

Aaron's pov
I walked into school with 5 minutes to spare so I started talking with my friends in till I smelled all things sweet,but more maple syrup smell so I started to run to the smell that's when I saw here standing in front of her locker talking to someone. I looked at her and could tell she was not a werewolf she did not smell like one. I was hesitant to go to her because humans were just as weak as omegas maybe even weaker,but she was my mate! So I walked up to her,but before I could tap her shoulder to make her turn around she already turned around.

Candy's pov

I felt the amazing smell get stronger so I thought it was getting closer so I turned around to see a werewolf about to touch my shoulder. I was going to ,snap and say what do you want! But I controlled my temper and took a deep breath only for the best smell to hit my nose! I looked up again to see him staring at me so intensely that's when it hit me amazing smell getting lost in his eyes he is my mate! Before he could say anything I started running to the exit with Aubrey behind me. I turned around to see my mate chasing me,but that is when I realized my mate was Aaron the Werewolf king!! The guy that was trying to kill me! So I ran faster not caring about my secret I just need to get out of here!

Aaron's pov

When she turned around I got lost in her eyes until she turned around so quick and started running but the weird thing is she was fast so I started running after her and then she was faster how was she faster than me the Werewolf King! It was impossible how was she so fast I then started pushing my wolf Nick faster we were not going to let our mate get away! I saw her and her friend Aubrey already left the school,so I started to pick up more speed to reach the exit door. When I got out side I could not find her,but we were near maple tress so maybe she was hiding in one because her scent smelled more of maple.
