Chapter 1.

I am currently lying in bed waiting for my best friend, Liv, to turn up at my house so we can go out for our 6am jog.  It is 6:15am at the moment and knowing Liv she is probably ogling Ian Somerhalder on  The Vampire Diaries, our favourite TV show, and yes I know the cast are very attractive and yes I do completely 'fan girl' over Paul Wesley but unlike Liv I am realistic, I know we will never meet the television sensations that are the Salvatore Brothers.

"Sorry I'm late!" Liv shouts as she barged in to my house as always.

"I bet you were really busy." I reply sarcastically.

''C'mon, lets run.''

With that we jogged out of my house and ran into the town centre where we stopped at Starbucks, as we always did.

I got a bottle of water and an apple smoothie, Liv got a large iced latte as usual.

We sat down at the table by the window and slouched into the overly large teal armchairs and started discussing the latest going ons of TVDs. After that we had a really long conversations about what would happen if we were to meet Paul and Ian.

"Yes it would be the best experience of my life and I would probably, no, definitely cry my eyes out for hours, but be realistic Liv, it's never going to happen.''

''We do live in the same town as them, Lydia, a girl can hope and dream can't she?'' Liv argues back not wanting to have her dream crushed, smashed, burned and then buried.

We remained in silence for a few minutes while Liv lived out her crazy unrealistic fantasies about meeting Paul and Ian.

We jog back to my house, I was struggling to keep up, as always I ran too fast on the first half of our jog.

I got home and showered. I am suppose to be going to the mall with Liv this afternoon. I blow dried and  straightened my very frizzy, uncontrollable hair, put on some make up and went down stairs to catch up on the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries, where once again sexy Stefan Salvatore has to save his delinquent brother Damon. Stefan always saves everyone and he is so selfless, for that he will always be my hero. I look at my phone and it is ten minutes before Liv is due to pick me up so I run back upstairs to change. I throw on back jeggings and a Coca-Cola jumper.

Shortly after there was a knock on the door.

''Hey.'' I say as I grab my bag and head out of the door.

In the car on the way to the mall we sing at the top of our lungs to our favourite tunes. I love having a friend that I can depend on for anything and also have a kick ass time with laughing my head off with, Liv is the kind of person where you can talk about really deep stuff and not be judge and can weird as fuck and not be alone.

It is just gone one when we arrive at the mall; as we step out of the car a wonderful mouth watering aroma of freshly baked pastries hit us and in sync we both say:

''Food time!''

A crack of thunder and sudden down pour causes me to run over to Liv, grab her hand and run into the mall. As we got inside we were both laughing our heads off, so much so we got countless strange looks. We went to the food court first because both of us were starving. After about ten minutes of debating weather to go to Nandos or Pizza Hut I give in and let Liv choose Nandos.

We went in took our seats and ate far too much food. Neither of us really wanted to shop anymore so we decided to go to the one shop we need to (this clothes shop for a party Liv and I and going to.) and then head home to binge watch The Vampire Diaries.

''I love this one!'' I say to Liv holding up a short black dress with a lace upper half.

''That's looks great, what do you think about this one?'' Liv asks holding up a dress in an identical style but this time in blue.

''Lets go and try them on.'' I exclaim and with that we head over to the fitting rooms to try on our new dresses.

''We look flawless if I must say so myself!'' Liv says as we walk out of the cubicles.

We go and pay for the dresses and some make up we brought and headed home. It took us ages to drive back to  mine the roads were full of traffic and the rain just slowed everything down.

When we finally got back to mine we were absolutely drenched. We changed into dry clothes, towel dried our hair and made some hot chocolate ready  to watch The Vampire Diaries.

We have nearly finished our fifth episode when there was a loud bang which sounded like shattering glass, a few minutes later my car alarm started echoing throughout the street.

I ran outside with Liv and we could not believe our eyes.
