Ishmael, the seventh child of King Ishmael--the third king of the Kingdom of Ishmael (one of the three 'sibling' kingdoms that were born from the remains of the Great Kingdom of Ishmael after its collapse due to irrelevant reasons)--was stillborn. In memory of his life (30 seconds of agonizing pain before his brain shut off due to lack of oxygen) now Mondays are known as Ishmaels in the kingdom (of Ishmael.)

One Ishmael morning, Ishmael did not wake up. He died in his sleep of a tuberculosis infection. After an eternity (three hours) of deep, profound, and emotional mourning, the Queen Ishmael married another man making him the king. In those three hours, due to inexperienced leadership from the Queen, the kingdom's economy crashed by the boulder of inflation. At this point, the new king's name was trivial; the 'prosperous' Kingdom of Ishmael was at war with one of its 'sibling' kingdoms who were already knocking on the front door. A few hours after the wedding, the King and Queen lost their heads, literally, at the hands of their rival kingdom. Ishmael was conquered by the Kingdom of Aladdin's forces commanded by General Aladdin, the aladdin son of Aladdin (aladdin meant 'seven' in the Kingdom of Aladdin.)

Ishmael's siblings--Ishmeal, Ishmail, Ishamael, Ishameal, Ishmaem, and Ishamaem--barely escaped their own deaths running into exile into the forest--the lungs of the World. Being the last survivors of their family (everyone else stayed to eat cake), it was up to them to free the people of Ishmael. Unfortunately, they didn't know how to survive in the forest by themselves and were devoured by a pack of wolves, except Ishmeal, who later changed his name to Ishmael because the author didn't want to keep writing his horrible name.

Being only eighteen years old and with a eye missing from a recent wolf attack (not the same one from earlier) Ishmael suffered much being alone, but he wasn't. The trees were watching as he went deeper and deeper into the forest. He eventually found a witch living alone in an old shack in the middle of the forest; she was not important to the story but she kept him fed and occasionally predicted the weather correctly. Winters were freezing and summers were scorching in what was once known as the Forest of Ishmael. Fortunately, our protagonist was only stranded for forty minutes before being captured by the Aladdin forces. The witch tipped them off for the captain's firstborn. Little did she know he was sterile.

Believing he was being led to his execution, Ishmael decided kill himself before being publicly humiliated. First, he tried to hang himself from a tree branch, but a guard stopped him, and his hands were tied. Then, he tried to jump into a river and drown, but a guard stopped him, and his feet were tied; he had to be carried now. Finally, he tried to bite his tongue off and choke on it, but it hurt so he didn't.

Ishmael was taken before King Aladdin and his personal advisor, a giant dwarf. His palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy. Before he could beg for his life, the King proclaimed that Ishmael was to be taken under his tutelage. He would be his own heir to the throne. What few people knew was that King Aladdin could look into the soul of a man through his eyes ('eye' in Ishmael's case), and he saw Ishmael was pure and innocent of the crimes of his father.

"The Kingdom of Aladdin is a prosperous and peaceful land." the King said, "Yet, three-hundred eighty-four moons ago, our beautiful lands, blessed with iron and gold, were invaded by the vicious King Ishmael. Taking the lives of men, women, and children indiscriminately, Ishmael relentlessly led his troops through our land stealing our treasures, destroying cities, burning farms down, bringing death as his weapon of choice. No plea of mercy was enough to stop his lustful desire for power, thus we were forced to fight back. Today, the fight is over, and justice won!"

When he left the palace, confused, Ishmael looked to the street below him. He saw a huge crowd celebrating; not just Aladdin soldiers, but also his own people, citizens of Ishmael. Ishmael had not been conquered. It had been liberated.
