I walked through the pack house, my brother was hanging out with Max and the populars. Ugh in two years Max will be our new alpha... that'll be the day of my death. All of Max's friends hate me, and I think its because my brother is Rocky, Max's best friend and to be beta. Rocky hasn't found his mate but none of them have, Max is destined to find his on his birthday tomorrow. hopefully he'll calm down and stop bullying me and Tessa.

Finally I get to the source of the voices. Cody is hanging out with them, thank god I see Cody is near the door directly in front of the door when I walk in, they don't even notice me... SCORE! I walk up to Cody and tap his shoulder and he turns, I look up at him and I wrap my lanky arms around his torso. I can feel him smile and his large muscular arms wrap around me. God I'm short. I feel the groups eyes on us, ugh I regretfully pull away from Cody slowly. Cody kisses my forehead and I feel Max's eyes burn holes through my stomach, stupid jerk. "So you guys are like an item now?" A pretty blonde, Aspire asks. "Uh, yea..." Awkward silence enters like a stranger. Rocky laughs loudly "seriously?!" He laughs louder. Cody pulls me into the comfort of his chest. I look over at Max, he is still staring at me. But he has never looked at me like this before, I've only seen him look at me with anger, what is this look? "I need to speak to Terra, alone." Crap, he sounds horribly mad... Please god kill me now. I watch as Max comes over towards me. He grips my wrist and pulls me out the door and into the bathroom, I'm expecting something it hit me...... I shield my face with my bare arms. I open my left eye a small bit. He is looking at me with, what is that? Lust? Oh crap. Max moves my arms to the sides and smashes his warm delicate lips to my own. I automatically move my lips in sync with his, I feel the bond becoming stronger that's when his chest turns a neon green where his heart should be, my chest turns a bright pink, I've only heard about this in stories, when two wolves find their mates, what? "M-Max is my mate?" Max smirks at me and opens his mouth "Terra, I reject you as my mate. I do not want you." My heart breaks, what did he say? I process what he says and I state at him. I muster my strongest voice I can without crying "I Don't Care, I have Cody." I suddenly remember my current boyfriend. "I, as your future alpha forbid you and Cody to mend souls to make each mates." That breaks me, I fall to my knees, I can't help the tears from flowing "h-how dare you?"
