Chapter 1

Michael's POV

"Michael," I heard Madison say my name. All the way on the first floor from our three story mansion, I at the roof, and her on the first floor. Madison is my sister. We're twins. I could hear her, because we're both, what some may call vampires. Back in the year 1912, the government sciences of America were booming. They were far ahead of thier time. They wanted to create a new breed of human that could live forever. My father worked for the government at that time. My mother, already impregnated with Madison and I at the time, agreed to have us tested on by the time we reached the age of 15. 15 came all too soon. We were both removed from our schooling and forced into labs and tests. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been injected with a needle of some combonation acids or some unknown viles of different colored liquids I've been forced to drink. Eventually, by the age of 17, the scientists perfected their formulas and Madison and I were designed to live forever. Flame resistant, our skin soft but so sturdy and durable, our hearts were redesigned to not pump blood through our bodies, but a chemical known as XCT through our bodies. The way we survive is by drinking the blood of other mammals to distribute oxygen throughout our bodies. Madison and I are the only ones in existance. The president at the time caught word of what the scientists were doing and they were all fired and under close watch until thier deaths so, that it could be monitered that nobody knew about us. Mother and Father eventually passed away as all humans do. As well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. But, not Madison or I. Along with our ability to live forever, we have gifts such as enhanced hearing, and seeing, strength, agility, and speed. We don't even look as if we've aged, we both will stay 17 forever.

Due to my enhanced hearing, I could hear her say again "Michael," from the first floor of our three story mansion in the backwoods between Tomball and Magnolia, Texas. The government gives us lots of money each month to keep our mouths shut about the truth behind our lives. I was lounging on the roof, but in the ammount of time it would've taken for a bolt of lightning to strike, I was downstairs, in front of my sister.
