It was the end of the day and I headed towards my car. I was too busy looking for my keys to even notice that someone was leaning against it.
"Nice ride!" The person says. I look up and see it's Hunter.
"Thanks. Don't be expecting to get in it." I said as I unlocked the door.
"Hmm." He said, quietly enough that I could barely hear it.
"Huh?"
"Oh, nothing." He answered. "You coming to the party tonight?"
"Why do you care?" I asked. He raised his eyebrows in the manner of 'what the fuck did you just say to me.'
"Look I was just asking, chill!" He throws his arms up, surrendering. I walk to the drivers side and open my door. He faces me from the other side of the car. "You know, it's probably gonna be boring without you there." He says.
"How would you know? You don't even know me." I laugh.
"I can just tell what kind of person you are..."
"Okay then." I say as I got into my car. Hunter bent down so he was looking at me through the car window.
"Just, think about it!" He said before walking away. I let out a sigh, then out of my side mirror I saw Mark.
"So, no party for you?" He asks sarcastically as he gets in the car.
"Maybe. I'm undecided." I start the engine and begin driving out the school car park.
It was a long drive to Marks and the whole time he just sat staring out of the window. As we arrived at his house I took this 'goodbye' as an opportunity to ask what was wrong.
"Alright, tell me what's up." I said.
"What?" He asked, almost confused.
"You've been silent this while car ride. What's up?"
"Nothing." Mark stepped out the car. I rolled down the window.
"Mark!" I yell.
"I'll see you tomorrow." He waves. He seemed odd. Was it something I said? Does he not want me at the party? I drive home almost in tears. Me and Mark are never like that. I don't want to upset him but at the same time I want to be able to do stuff without him getting mad about it. As per usual I walk in on Julia and Blake making out on the couch.
"Get a room!" I shout. They both look up at me in sync. I ran to my room and slammed my door. I was stressed, I was filled with anger because of how Mark had been acting. I picked up my phone from my bedside table.
