Chapter 16

*Maria POV*

Tonight is my first official date with Peggy. I still cant believe they agreed to it. I have our entire night planned out. First we'll go to an arcade and play games, get snacks, and hopefully I'll be able to win something for them. Then, We'll go Go-Karting and if we have enough time I'm going to take them to the park to catch fireflies. I really hope they have fun tonight.

I walked to their house and knocked on the door. Angie answered and hugged me.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" She said and smiled.

"Oh, uh, Peggy and I were just gonna hang out tonight". I couldn't stop smiling at the thought of going on a date with them.

"Come in. She's up in her room, probably getting ready". As she finished speaking Peggy came down the stairs in skinny jeans, a cute yellow top, and a small jacket. She looked adorable. She was wearing her yellow necklace. Girl tonight.

"Hey!" She said as she reached the bottom of the stairs. "You ready to go?" She asked, her grin just as big as mine.

I nodded my head and we walked out, saying bye to Angie and Liza. Little did they know that I'm going on a date with their little sister.

We got to the arcade and Peggy giggled at the sight.

"An arcade? You're such a dork" Her giggle made me feel weak at the knees and released butterflies in my stomach.

"Shut up and come play ski ball with me ya nerd" I teased. We played in the arcade until we ran out of tokens. I think we spent about $50 within an hour and a half. Oh well, Peggy is worth it.

Next to the arcade was a Go-Kart place, so instantly Peggy put two and two together.

"You're taking me Go-Karting now, aren't you?" She smiled and grabbed my hand. I pulled her into a kiss and smiled.

"Mhm, now lets go beat some 13 year old ass" I said and tugged her along.

I stepped into the Go-Kart and Peggy stood there.

"Get in, loser" I said and strapped myself in.

"There it is" She giggled and climbed in.

We beat everyone's asses in Go-Karts until this one little shit rammed into the side of our car and caused us to swerve. Peggy just laughed and held her sides. I wasn't gonna let that little shit get away with that. I took control and we raced passed him and his face when he saw us was priceless. I burst out laughing and we ended up winning first place. We got a coupon for a free ice cream cone. Sadly, it was already expired. We didn't care much anyway, it was probably crappy ice cream anyway.

The night had gone by pretty fast but we still had time left to go to the park. This was the part I was most excited for. Peggy loved to go to the park at night and fireflies were her favorite bug. They always fascinated her. Plus, I was going to ask Peggy if she wants to be my datemate. If all goes well, she'll agree.

"So.. home now I guess?" She asked, but I shook my head.

"Nope. I have one more surprise for you." I teased and poked her nose, then brought her to the park.
