Prologue

The lives of everyone in District 13, depends on the Rebellion. That's what we dream of, a life where President Snow can't kill people and get away with it, can't take our freedom, our family, our lives and do what he wants with it. The only chance we have is Rebellion. It might mean loosing many lives, but these are eager lives. The ones who support what is right and are willing to sacrifice themselves to give their children, and their children's children a better life. The one they never have.

'Gale.' The word seemed almost like acid off my tongue at first, but only because we were surrounded by people, 'Sasha.' He said, returning the harsh, cold tone. Only acknowleding my exstience in front of these people, 'We're going to have to get them out of the Games today... Before it's to late.' Haymitch concluded and President Coin nodded, 'If anything, we go straight for Peeta.' She said but Boggs shook his head, 'Oh now. We go for Katniss. That's our Mockingjay, the people began the rebellion thanks to her. And Sasha's genius words to those in her prep team of course.' He admired and President Coin shook her head, my mother could be so stubborn sometimes.

'Peeta's words are motivational. Inspiring. He can speak to a crowd and-----' Boggs cut her off, 'And it's all staged. Katniss is the real deal.' He argued and it went on for about half an hour until we all voted, and the majority was for Katniss if we could only save one. Everyone went off to watch the games while some borded the ship that would fly them to the games, waiting one of our commands. Our orders that could change everyone's lives more than we knew.

Gale smiled slightly at me, now that we were alone. Striding over quickly and pushing me against the wall, his lips connecting to the skin on my neck in a passionate way as he let his tongue slip onto it lightly, in a teasing way. Making me want him more but I pushed him away, 'Katniss is coming back, Gale... I know you still love her.' I breathed in deeply, waiting his reply.....
