The next morning was definitely not what I expected it to be. The whole HR department was turned upside down and I had not a single clue why. Sasha didn't even look at me this morning. In fact she seemed to be nervous as she rushed past me into Diana's office. I wonder why! But the worse was yet to come. I could feel Diana's anger as soon as i opened her office door.

"... I don't care how much we have to give them. Just shut their mouth immediately. This is too serious to be taken lightly. Do you understand- ?" She was screaming on the phone when Sasha interrupted her.

"Ma'am he is here! I have asked Melanie to tell him to come straight in your office. And I cannot reach the CEO of Daily News."

"I can't believe this! No matter how many times I warn him, he always commits the same mistake again and again. And where the hell are these people? I need to talk to them now!"

"Good morning Diana!" I knew this was not the right time but I felt like I had to make my presence known. "Oh Evelyn! Good morning dear. I am so sorry that you have to witness this mess. But this will be your job soon. So you have be familiar with these kind of situations. Might as well do it now! Well not really... I mean this is the PR's job but Katie is still on her honeymoon and I don't trust the one replacing her, " She said with a chuckle. Her eyes were full of guilt when she looked at me that I couldn't help but pity her.

"Uh... Can I ask what's wrong here? Why is everyone so stressed out?" She looked defeated once again, almost like she had aged in just a day. "Oh dear! It's this stupid boy again. Well not exactly him but one of his 'mistakes'. One of his mistresses is claiming to be pregnant and she has already informed the media about it. I'm trying my best to clear his name but everyone believes her as they had been seen together twice." "Who are you talking about?"

"Jayden of course! Who else?" My heart dropped as soon as she said his name. I knew that he was one of the biggest playboy in New York already. And I don't understand why I was feeling bad about that. I hate him.

Just then the door opened and in walked the devil. Yes, it was Jayden Cole in his own flesh and blood. I couldn't believe that he was really here in front of me. I froze instantly and stared at him while he didn't even notice me. "Hey pretty ladies! I missed you both so much. It's been a long time since I came down here." He sent a flirtatious wink to Sasha while he went over to hug Diana. But instead Diana smacked his head and I couldn't help but giggle at that.

"Ouch-" that was a big mistake since it made Jayden realise my presence. Busted! And just like that, suddenly there was pin drop silence in the room. I stared at his deep blue eyes which I often dreamt of while he continued to look at me. He has certainly changed physically over the last four years. The change has done him good. He looks more mature with 5-day beard and sandy blond hair slicked back. He has also gained more muscles which are emphasised by his dark blue Armani suit. I started squirming while being scrutinized by those ocean like blue eyes. And just then he smirked and I realised that he still remembered me. Just my luck for wanting to escape him today. "Well well well! If it isn't little miss nerdy, Evelyn Rose Stewart. Butterfly, I certainly never expected to see you here one day."

"Yeah! And if it isn't Jayden William Cole, the biggest arsehole in the world!" I snapped. I couldn't believe him. He was still the same arrogant egoistic hunk after all these years.

"What the hell is going on here? Do you guys know each other?" We had both forgotten about Diane and Sasha until the former asked us about it. And it was now my turn to be guilty. "Actually Diana, Jayden was my senior at Harvard five years ago. We had already met there. And I'm really sorry for not telling you about it earlier. That was so wrong of me. I should have told told you yesterday itself. I didn't want you to think differently about me. I'm-"

My rambling was cut short by a smiling Diana. "It's fine dear. I understand why didn't tell me." Jayden started laughing at my flushed state and all I wanted was for the earth to swallow me. I had once again embarrassed myself in front of him, giving him the opportunity to mock at me once again. Sasha was glaring at me beside him. 'Look who's back,' my inner self piped.

And then suddenly Diana's face became angry once again. "Jayden Cole!! Start speaking immediately. I am not going to clean your mess until you explain the whole story to me." But he merely rolled his eyes, looking exasperated before he said, "look Di, there is nothing to explain. I did sleep with her. I think twice. But I used protection. And you know how these people are. Desperate gold diggers! I am not going to even listen to her. I mean come on, we don't even know if she is really pregnant or not."

After his words, the anger left Diana's body, and a tired woman took her place. In that moment, I pitied her but then I started worrying about my job being so exhausting. "I'm tired of your antics, Jayden," she said softly. "You know that I care for you like my own son and I know that you will never let me down. But I really don't like your hot and cold attitude towards other woman. How will you get a nice lady if you continue behaving like this?"

I was surprised to see that she was scolding him like a real mother. "And speaking of that... I want to know all about your relationship with Evelyn here. I hope that you didn't treat her you treat others. She is a special one. I didn't get to tell you but she is the one taking my place when I'll be gone."

I groaned silently. I certainly did not want to tell Diana about how I met this idiot. But it looked like the latter had other plans. "Oh trust me, she is definitely special," he replied with a light chuckle, to which I glared at him.

"There's nothing to tell you, Di. I just used to annoy her during my final year at the university. But I'm glad that little miss nerdy here will be taking your place. Which means that you will be leaving soon." He said mockingly which earned him a slap on the chest. "Seriously Di, you need that vacation. I'll be up in my office. Inform me if you need anything."

"Don't worry Jayden. I'll take care of the situation and I also have to teach Evelyn so many things. See you later." Kissing Diana on her forehead, Jayden left the cabin with a desperate looking Sasha on tow.

"So, Evelyn.. Tell me all about Jayden and yourself. I could really use some gossip right now..."
