High in a tree, Kat watched the two boys walk back toward the jeep, unaware of Scott's awaiting figure near the back of the famous blue jeep with his arms folded across his chest. His appearance was given away by his strong chemosignals, frustration radiated off of his body, directed toward Stiles for following Theo.

Kat knew the situation would not end well. She told Stiles not to trust Theo, and he already didn't on his own. Scott, on the other hand, seemed to trust Theo and could not comprehend why his best friend was so against him. She didn't want to talk to Scott about all of this. He would doubt her and question her more than Stiles did.

A deep sigh came from Stiles and reached her ears, signaling he caught sight of Scott's bike by his jeep, knowing he was busted. His anxiety spiked as he walked through the Preserves. Kat remained in her crouched position on the high tree branch, completely out of sight from the three boys down below. She was able to keep all of them in her sight without having to move closer, slightly worried there was a greater chance Scott would sense her presence, due to being a True Alpha.

"Find anything?" Scott asked once the two boys were close enough to him.

Stiles marched right up to the driver's side of his jeep, fiddling with his keys. He barely even glimpsed in Scott's direction as he responded, "Nope."

Liam paused, standing near the rear of the jeep. "I fell in a hole." He bared a large grin, like he was proud of his accident.

Kat raised an eyebrow at the younger teen's words. Over the couple of days, she learned Liam was less mature and more boyish than the rest of the pack. Of course, she knew that was expected, considering he was a year younger than the rest. Most of his comments usually brought an amused smile to her lips. Liam was quite funny at times.

"It was the bridge where his sisters died, wasn't it?" Scott ignored his beta and kept his full attention on Stiles.

Out of instinct, Kat frowned at the subtle mention of her older sister. She still blamed herself for not saving Tara. Tara's warning for Kat to run overtook her eight-year-old body and she ran away from her sister, in order to save herself. She often wondered if she could have saved her sister if she hadn't lost track of Theo that night.

"Yes, it was. Very embarrassing." Stiles commented and climbed into the driver's seat. He wasted no time in sticking the key into the ignition or waiting for Liam to even get in the passenger seat. "So, we are gonna leave now."

The engine sputtered instead of turning on, like Stiles had wanted. Kat sensed his anger toward his jeep. This whole situation was simply putting him in an even worse mood.

"Son of a--" Stiles cut himself off as he climbed out of the seat, leaving the door open. He lazily gestured to the seat and walked toward the front of the jeep. "Liam, just do me a favor, get in and turn the ignition when I say." He popped the hood.

Scott angled his body to be able to watch his friend work on his jeep. "Stiles?" He asked in a calm voice.

"Be with you in a sec." Stiles snipped, fiddling with something in the engine. He called out to Liam, "Try it."

As Liam twisted the key in the ignition, the jeep barely sputtered once again, louder this time, and came to a stop, only frustrating Stiles even more. He messed with something else inside of the engine. Kat felt bad for him. This night was not turning out how he had wanted it to and Kat sensed how frustrated he was.

"Stiles." Scott calmly repeated.

To Kat, she thought Scott was entirely too calm with the whole situation. Stiles' attitude was radiating off of his body in strong chemosignals while Scott had a level head on his shoulders.
