Resident Evil: Chris and Jill's Story

Chapter 2

Chris

...

We were on the boat for a pretty, long time. It seemed like we stayed up the whole night going through the marshes and shooting off Majini at the same time. Nothing was happening right now. I was just steering the boat through the dirty water while Sheva was sitting down in the front. She was in deep thought as far as I could tell because she was only staring at the marshlands with her hands in her lap. Then she spoke.

"What happened to your partner?" she asked.

Oh... Sheva wanted to talk about Jill, huh? Well... I guess she deserves to know since she's in this with me.

"Jill and I were pursuing a man named Albert Wesker..."

There it came... I could picture the whole thing again... That night...

I could see Jill and I walking down the hall, leading ourselves to Oswell E. Spencer...

"Wesker... He was a top official with Umbrella and the leader of our S.T.A.R.S. unit."

We were walking slowly and we almost reached the big entry doors into his room...

"I met him again after the Raccoon City incident on Rockfort Island. Since then we'd been trying to track him down. Then a few years ago we got a tip from a reliable source. The whereabouts of Umbrella's founder Oswell E. Spencer."

I remembered right about now, Jill and I had reached the base of the door. Our backs were against the door, leaning on the wooden surface. Both our guns out and ready to shoot.

"So we paid him a visit hoping he'd lead us to Wesker."

I had nodded at Jill as she did the same and we barged into the room! Pointing our guns at a mysterious figure, he turned around to reveal himself as Wesker... On the floor was an old man, probably killed by Wesker who was Oswell... We finally found him...

"Wesker!!" I yelled.

Firing our guns at him, it seemed to be of no use! All Wesker did was use his super speed to vanish from one place to another. He soon came up to me and sucker punched me in the face, jabbed me in the stomach, threw my gun away, and then knocked me down on the floor. Jill started firing again, but she couldn't get him because he dodged more. Wesker came up to Jill and then grabbed her by the throat and held her by a pillar in the room.

"Ungh! Ungh! Ungh! Ungh!" Jill groaned. She was trying to break free, but his strength wouldn't let her since he was too strong. I got up, ran to Wesker, and punched him away from Jill, freeing her. I was about to go fist to fist with Wesker but it seemed more like fist, dodge, then strike! Wesker kept punching me and Jill was able to shoot at Wesker a few times so he could get his hands off me! He just dodged them so swiftly by jumping in the air with a twist!

*Chck! Chck!* I could hear Jill's gun was empty since she struggled with it for a litlle. Wesker came back to me and started to hit me again with his fast agility helping him. Wesker was punching me in my abdomen over and over so I would keel but I held on although his fists packed a real punch! I looked over at Jill and she gave up trying to get her gun to work so she pulled out her knife and went up to Wesker to slash at him. He grabbed Jill's arm, and then did a cobra strike at her stomach! Jill went flying straight to a cabinet behind her and crashed painfully, breaking the glass on it as well.

Once again, I tried to fight with Wesker but he overpowered me. I threw a powerful punch at him and he dodged it, disappearing after. He appeared next to me and gave me an uppercut high into the air. Wesker diappeared, but then reappeared going in for the kill by slamming me on a table I was about to land. He dragged me all the way to the end of the table throwing me near the front of the glass windows. I could feel the blood on my stomach from all the blows and the blood was on the table dragged on like I was...

Wesker picked me up by my vest and said "Let's finish this." When all of a sudden...

"No!"

Jill came to my rescue but at a terrible price... She was able to stop Wesker by ramming into him, but then she crashed through the window glass right in front of me... And I saw her hurtling down the cliff side of the mansion...To her death...

"JIIILL!!!" I screamed putting my hand out after her as she fell...

Back to reality, I was still telling Sheva about what happened at Oswell's mansion.

"Jill's body was never found and she was presumed dead. The person I saw in that data looked like her. I... have to know if she's still alive."

"You two were close," Sheva said

...

After all this time... Through the monsters, the Majini, Uroboros... Chris went through all of it because he knew that Jill was still alive... I'm surprised a man could go so far just to get his partner back... From the way Chris talked about Jill... They were close...

"What about you? Why'd you join the BSAA?" Chris asked me.

Wow... This isn't going to be easy telling but... he deserves to know.

"My parents were invovlved in an accident caused by a pharmaceutical company when I was young..."

"Umbrella?" Chris asked

"Yes." I said.

"I only found out later that the accident... was to cover up the manufacturing of biological weapons for terrorists..."

Chris remained silent for a little but he still wanted to hear more. I could tell by his face...

"They were using Africa as a test bed for their experiments... Bioweapons were responsible for the deaths of my parents..."

I turned around to face Chris and said "And someone has to pay for that!"

"So you joined the BSAA..." Chris said.

That was true... My whole reason for wanting to avenge my parents' deaths... Was by joining the BSAA... Then one day, I could make things right...

"There's only so much one person can do... Even a superhero like you, Chris."

Chris was a little surprised to hear that and responded with

"Ha... I'm no superhero..." he said

"But together, we can end this." he continued.

I looked at Chris determined in what I was about to say next

"Then let's make a stand for our fallen brothers!" I said to him.

"Hang on." he said.

Chris was speeding up the boat and the boat jumped on a wooden ramp. Let's hope that we can fulfill both of our goals, Chris... I know we can do it... The boat landed wildly on the water and speeded up more.

With that, Chris and Sheva, now knowing their reason to fight through all of this, sped up their boat to go faster with where they had to go so they could find Jill...
