George was laying on his bed with his eyes closed. Images of Jon flashed in his mind. From the time they met, to now. He opened his eyes & sat up, wiping tears. The last thing he wanted was to think about Jon.
He sat in silence for a few minutes, pondering what he should do. A thought came to mind & he smiled. Jon must probably already feel guilty enough, why not make him feel even more guilty? After this, he will want to come back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Hours later*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hours or so later, a knock sounded on George's door. He raced to answer it & was relieved to find his best friend, Marilyn, standing there. George jumped into his arms.
Marilyn laughed & hugged him back. "It's good to see you too."
George pulled away & let Marilyn come in. However, Marilyn didn't budge. Instead, he scratched his head & gestured to the three people standing behind him.
George raised his eyebrow. "Who are these people?"
Marilyn laughed & stepped back to let each of them introduce themselves.
The scrawny, short, & under-dressed girl, stepped forward. She had her hands folded & she stood perfectly straight, her head down. She finally looked up to meet George & gave him a weak smile. "My name is Dawn."
George returned the smile. "It's nice to meet you Dawn, I'm George." He tried to give her a handshake, but she shyed away & ran over to Marilyn's side.
The next two both came up to greet him. They too, gave him a weak smile. The girl in a black dress, rather plump, was the first to introduce herself. "I'm Sarah. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The last one to greet him was rather skinny, dosed with heavy makeup, but one of the only ones who seemed to be excited to see him. "The name's Mo. Just Mo."
George still wasn't sure who these people were, but Marilyn was his best friend, he trusted him. Therefore, George let the four of them inside his house.
Dawn, Sarah, & Mo all sat down in his room. Marilyn & George were preparing tea for them all. They were nearly done, when Marilyn dropped one of the cups filled with tea. The cup smashed in pieces, with tea splattered on the floor.
Marilyn laughed at his mistake & went to clean it up. He seemed a little bit off, but George found nothing unusual about that.
George bent down to pick up the broken pieces of the cup, when Marilyn arrived at his side, pushing George away from the mess. "I got it, no need to clean up the mess I made."
George was about to stand up & bring the hot tea to the other people, when he took notice of Marilyn. Now he was sure something was wrong. He put his hand on Marilyn's back. "Are you okay? Are you sure you don't need any help?"
Marilyn laughed & shrugged George's hand off. "I'm FINE George. In fact, I'm better than FINE." He laughed again.
George finally stood up & began taking the tea in to the waiting guests. Shrugging off what just happened in the other room.
Dawn, Sarah, & Mo each took their burning tea with caution & pleasure. They all thanked George & Marilyn.
George sipped his tea & eyed Marilyn with concern. He wasn't acting himself & he didn't look himself. Something WAS wrong.
Marilyn wasn't drinking his tea at all, instead, he was looking down at the sheet of paper George was recently writing on. He laughed & picked it up, reading it aloud for everyone to hear.
"Do you really want to hurt me. Do you really want to make me cry. Words are few. I have spoken. I could waste a thousand years. Wrapped in sorrow, words are token. Come inside and catch my tears. You've been talking but believe me. If it's true you do not know. This boy loves without a reason. I'm prepared to let you go..."
George snatched the paper away from Marilyn, who, was laughing. He stopped laughing when he saw how hurt George looked.
He picked up his tea, finally, & began to drink it. "I'm sorry George. Did that song mean something to you?"
George shrugged & began to play with his tea. He could feel his eyes burning. He was about to cry but he tried to hold it in longer. "It's about Jon."
Marilyn tilted his head to look at George, but he shyed away. Marilyn felt like a terrible friend for laughing at something that clearly meant so much to George. "What's wrong? What about Jon? Did something happen? Did you two have a big fight?"
George sat away from Marilyn, his head was bent down low, & he was now sobbing. He didn't want to look like a prat in front of everyone. Marilyn was here to help him, not to bring up what George dreaded to talk about the most. He tried to calm down, as he wiped his eyes. "It was more than a fight actually. We broke up because he wanted to be with Barbara more than me. He loved her more, & he told me that he was straight more than gay or bisexual. I guess that's what happens when you fall for someone who was in a straight relationship first."
Marilyn set his tea down & moved over to George. He grabbed him around the waist & kissed his cheek. "It's okay George, we all have had to deal with break ups once in our lives. You'll get over it."
George nodded, but he wasn't quite sure about that. The love that Jon & him had was more than the usual kind of love. They were supposed to be together forever. They promised each other they would. But Jon, however, was a COMPLETE asshole, & broke his promise first.
Marilyn broke into a smile & hugged George tightly. "I know EXACTLY what you need right now."
George sniffled & looked up at his excited best friend. "And what is that?"
Marilyn jumped off the bed & ran over to Dawn, Sarah, & Mo. He whispered something in their ears & they each broke into huge grins.
Dawn caught George staring bewildered at them & she giggled. Sarah took something out of her boot & handed it over to Marilyn. He opened the tiny bag she gave him & he sniffed it, letting out a heavenly sigh.
George raised his eyebrows. Everyone in the room was laughing & toppled on Marilyn, trying to take the bag out of his hands.
Unfortunately for them, Marilyn escaped & ran over to George. He tossed George the bag. He turned it over in his hands. There was some kind of powder inside of it. George opened the bag & sniffed it. He smiled. The scent was something he recognized all too well.
Marilyn jumped on George & kissed him, on the lips. Dawn, Sarah, & Mo were clapping & screaming, showing their approval.
George couldn't lie, it was a sweet kiss. It didn't last very long, but it lingered. Although, George couldn't understand why the feel of his best friend against him & his tongue in his mouth gave him pleasure, but all he knew was, he loved it.
Marilyn pulled away & cupped George's head in his hands. He smiled widely. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's take some drugs & get fucked up tonight!"
George laughed & kissed Marilyn again. Only this time, it was a much, much, longer kiss than last time.
