Jenni picked me up at around 8. "I'm going out," I shout to blake. Mia and Becca were in the back of the car so I sat in the passenger seat. Of course we were all wearing short dresses. Of course we were all wearing heels. Yet, I was the only one that's makeup wasn't smudged already.
We arrive at the place and jump out the car when a black rover parks up in the middle of the road. A guy with brown hair and from what I could see, a black earring got out first, then I saw Jacob, then Mikey but no hunter...
I walked to the back building with Mia. We stood by the punch that was on this really long table full of nothing. Mia pointed towards the pool where I saw Annie with Hunter wrapping his arms around her waist. Hunter was wearing all black. His shirt was stressed and his jeans were ripped at the knees. Annie noticed that we were watching her and ran over.
"Here we go..." I whisper to Mia, rolling my eyes.
"Hey guys! Enjoying my party?" She said excitedly.
"I guess..." Mia replied.
"Have you met Hunter? He's new here and-"
"Yeah, we know him." I interrupted. Obviously seeing Hunter all loved up with Annie made me jealous. Yet, I don't even know the guy. Hunter slowly walked over.
"Emily!" He said in a surprised voice, "I didn't expect you to come."
"Well here I am," I said stubbornly. I didn't want to be here but I didn't want to be stuck in bed being upset over Mark. I brushed past them and headed to Shawn. Shawn, he's also been one of my bestfriends. He is my neighbour so we have grown up together, he's almost like a big brother. I've always liked Shawn and he's always liked me but we never made anything a relationship.
I looked over at the group. Mia had turned her back and Annie had thrown her arms over Hunter.
"You look amazing!" Shawn stated, snapping me back into reality.
"Thanks! I didn't really want to come so I put no effort into anything honestly."
"Well you still look perfect." He smiled. "What you looking at?" He asked.
"Nothing. No one. It doesn't matter." At that moment, Hunter looked over. He removed Annie's hands from his shoulders and walked back to the front gardens. He signalled for me to meet him there, so I followed.
"Wanna go somewhere," Hunter said as I walked round the corner of the building.
"Like where?"
"I don't know. Somewhere."
I frowned. I couldn't leave. Not after what I'd done to Mark because I came to the party. If he found out that I blew it off to hang out with Hunter and then potentially be used for sex by him, he'd go insane.
"What's wrong?" Hunter asked.
"It's just I upset my best friend because of this. He thought I was going to spend the whole night getting drunk and high."
"And were you?" He says with a grin on his face.
"Maybe."
"Look I noticed you were rushing in this morning. Why?" He asks, pressing his back against the passenger car door. Bit of a random question, that I did NOT want to answer!
"It's a long story."
"I've got the time." He said.
"I can't..." I whispered as I walked to my car. I got in and turned the engine on. Hunter walked to my window and looked through the glass.
"Look, I'm sorry for asking. Come with me." He offered, gesturing to his car.
"Maybe another time." I drove out the driveway and just as I got to the end of it I stopped the car. Hunter joined me.
