Life's Painful Road

Chapter 1

  "Dear diary, today Zack and I FaceTime!! It's been two weeks!!!! He went to a summer camp where they weren't allowed electronics. I miss him soooo much!!!  He says he'll come visit when he can, but that seems to be never. One day we'll see again, and not through the computer screen. I miss kissing him. I miss holding him. I just miss him. See ya later. -May." I closed my notebook. I laid back and sighed.

  It's been two years since I moved out to Germany with my mom. Zack and I have been face timing frequently, and so has Carlie. Carlie and Kyle split up about 5 months ago, and she's still not over it. My mom got a boyfriend, which is honestly pretty awkward. I mean, I have a boyfriend and I'm 17, but she's 46, sooo it's just awkward. But I like the guy. I still keep in touch with my dad, just not as in touch as I would like to be. Carlie is coming to visit soon. She has her flight planned and everything!!! I can't wait to see her!!!

  "May!!! Come here!!! Zack's calling!!!" My mom called from the other room. I jumped up and ran in practically falling over when stopping. I sat down and pressed answer. When Zack's face lit up the screen, j smiled from ear to ear!!!

  "Zack!!!" I yelled. He chuckled.

  "May!! So good to see you!! How's it going?" I couldn't stop smiling. I couldn't believe I was seeing his face after so long.

  "It's good. I'm finishing off finals. Summer starts next week. I'm so ready to be out of school!!! Maybe I can come visit!!!" I said jumping in my seat. He laughed at my enthusiasm as he nodded.

  "That would be great! I miss kissing those beautiful lips. All I want to do is wrap my arms around you." Be said grinning.

  "Me too. Maybe you come to Germany with Carlie in a few weeks. We could see each other." I suggested. He thought it over.

  "Um, I think I'm free. Yea, I'm free for the next month and a half. See you in a few weeks." He waved goodbye. I pressed a kiss to the screen before ending the conversation. My mom came to my side.

  "You still in on it with Zack?" She asked taking a sip of her tea. I nodded. "Good. I hear, couples split up during long distance. But y'all are meant to be. Well I got to go. You know the drill. I'll be home by 10. No stove, no oven. Don't catch house on fire, and call me if you need anything at all. See you sweets." She said as she closed the door and drove off to work. I sat there and thought. What if Zack was doing something he wasn't telling me. No!! He's mine. He even said it. He said when I go home, I'll be his forever.
