scary movie marathon

The digits on Mary Margaret's microwave turned to 1:37 am, which meant it was a couple minutes past time to start the scary movie marathon. David bought as many scary movies as he could, Regina brought lots of popcorn, and Emma brought a TV along with a blanket to hide behind just in case she was frightened.

She curled up on the floor in front of the couch with Regina.

"Aw, Emma...Are you scared?" Regina teased.

"Scared?" Emma laughed. "Absolutely, not. Ive fought giants and the dark one...ones. I've been to the underworld and back. What have I got to be afraid of?"

Regina just smiled and rolled her eyes before turning her head to the TV.

Emma could put on a face, but Regina could see right through it always. There wasn't a scary movie that Emma hadn't been frightened by, and no matter how many times Emma denied her being scared, Regina was always there for her.

The movie started and the title flashed across the screen with a loud bang. It was sudden, most likely made that way to give the audience a fright; and it worked. I'm the corner of Regina's eye she saw Emma jump. She erupted into a fit of giggles and Emma wasn't going to have it. She smacked Regina in the leg and shushed her; eyebrows furrowed and death stare set. Regina turned towards the TV, still cheesing and giggling silently.

...

"Jerome! Don't go into the closet!"

"Molly, there's nothing there. I'll show you."

Emma watched beneath the safety of her blanket, whispering threats to the TV. "Don't you dare go into that closet, Jerome, or I swear to g-"

"AGGHHHH!!" Molly screamed.

Emma shouted loudly, startling Mary Margaret and David. Regina lifted her head from the edge of the couch and squinted through still-sleepy eyes.

"You okay, Emma?" Mary Margaret asked while trying to suppress her laugh.

Emma took a deep breath and nodded. "I wasn't expecting it...you know?"

"Mhmmm..."

Emma looked at Regina. "Oh shut up. " She told her.

Mary Margaret and David stood from the couch and made there way over to the bed. It was now around three o'clock in the morning. Regina made an attempt to stand when Emma grabbed her hand.

"Are you scared?" Regina asked.

Emma stared up at her with innocent eyes and Regina instantly felt bad for taunting her. She scooted over and wrapped an arm around her shoulder ,pulling her tight and cradling her.

"Don't worry, Emma. There is nothing you need to be scare of.." Regina whispered to her. "I'll protect you. "
