After Iris and Barry broke up Barry needed a place to stay, he called Cisco asking him if he could stay but apparently his grandma was in town because of Dante so she was staying at his place. Cisco suggested that he asked Caitlin, since she lives alone. Barry went over to her house with his bags pack with even asking permission. She of course let him come inside and they talked about it.

"Barry I'm so sorry, I know this must be hard for you, you can stay as long as you want", Caitlin gave a sympathetic smile.

Barry nodded, "thank you cait".

She gave one last smile and went into the living room. Barry sneakily followed her, he saw as she sat down and pulled the blanket over her then began watching a Netflix show. Popcorn right beside her and flavored water. "Can I join? This is like my favorite thing to do ever, besides ...you know", Barry said.

"Yeah come on, I have popcorn for two", she giggled and patted the seat next to her.

Barry hopped on the sofa and made himself at home. It sure did feel like he was home. They laughed all night and talked about the break up, they talked about Julian and her, they also talked about work plans, but they didn't wanna stress each other out so it was a short topic.

"Hey... Cait, are you doing alright? I know I've been a little isolated Lately with the whole saving iris thing, I just wanna make sure your okay", Barry asked.

"Yeah I feel like I'm doing better, thank you Barry", she smiled and looked into his eyes.

It felt like they were staring into each others eyes for hours, Caitlin cleared her throat to break the contact.

"I'm gonna get some sleep now, if you need anything I'm right upstairs, you can make yourself comfortable here", she said.

"Thank you", he unexpectedly hugged her.

She was stiff from the surprise but gave into his hold. She rubbed his back, "I'm always here for you barry".

Then she went upstairs. Barry's heart and body wanted so badly to follow, but his mind said no.

Soon he fell asleep.

Barry wasn't fully awake but he could hear the shuffling in the kitchen. His eyes slowly began to open. He got up and stretched, he folded his blanket neatly and also put his pillow in the  closet.

He smelled pancakes, "wow you cook?".

She laughed at his question, "pancakes are a fairly easy breakfast to make, Barry".

She put his plate on the table and put four pancakes on top of it, she topped it with syrup and cut up banana slices with strawberry slices.

He looked at her in surprise at the large amount of food she gave him.

"I know its a lot, but I'm assuming last night your only dinner was popcorn, sorry about that by the way, so... you gotta eat this to keep your body up to date", she told him.

He smiled at her and thanked her. He began to eat slowly, usually he speeds the process up but now he was sitting at the breakfast table with Caitlin and he enjoyed taking his time.

Caitlin was already dressed and ready to go,as soon as she finished her food she made her way to star labs as Barry quickly took a shower and got dressed.

He walked into star labs feeling good, he wasn't miserable, or stressed. He felt...... Happy. Everyone could see it in his face, his eyes were lit up, and his face was relaxed and not tensed like usual. Even Caitlin found it a little weird, but she was glad he was happy.
