Prologue

Lizze' s POV
   Okay, well I have this friend and she has a disability. She's deaf. Her name is Linda. But she likes to be called Lin.
      One day, Lin came up to mean and said “ Lizze, do you think I'm a loser?” “ No Lin” I said, “ Why do you ask?” And what she told me broke my heart. She said, “ You're boyfriend Tommy told me I was a fat,dumd,ugly,loser who didn't deserve a friend like you.”
      The next day I confronted my boyfriend.“ Why would you say that to Lin she's my BEST FRIEND and you know that!!” “Woah babe, slow down she's deaf, she couldn't hear me.” “TOM SHE CAN READ LIPS YOU RETARD!!” “ Lizze how was I supposed to know?” “Why did you say it in the first place?! You know what, I don't wanna hear it. WE'RE THROUGH!!” “Wait Lizze don't make any decisions you'll regret.” “The only decision I regret is going out with a retarded guy like you.”
     After breaking up with my boyfriend, I just had to tell Lin. But when I got to her house her mother said,“ Sorry Lins at the ENT right now. But come back on Friday she should be home by then.” I was shocked. She only stays there that long when something is wrong. I had so many things going through my head, was she going to die,did she have a tumor,were they going to do surgery?! But I told myself ' Calm down Elizabeth, it's probably just another false alarm. So I went home to get ready for bed.
        Friday finally came along so I went to Lins house and when I got there, there was some sort of party going on. I let myself in only to find myself being forced upstairs by Lin.“What's going on?” I ask and she responds by talking instead of using sign language. She said, “The doctors ran some rest and found out that they could do surgery to get my hearing back. So I spent the past week recovering and learning how to speak.” I cried and told her all about Tommy and my week.
      But then everything changed.
Lin came back to school after a week of learning how to talk, but stopped talking to me. How ironic was it that Lin learned to speak but then doesn't talk to me. She even started hanging out with the “mean girls” of the school. And she starts bullying me. What happened to the old Lin???
        Lin has been bullying me for the past week, and I still don't know what could have caused this . Could it have been her newfound ability to talk or hear? I need to find out I don't want to lose Lin.
      But that all changed when she started to date Tommy and even made out with him in front of me.
       From that day on I swore to get revenge on her and those who betrayed me.
