A New Brother

The white door to my beloved home cracked open as I stepped inside. I walked to my room and threw the door open. I flung my bag on the floor and- " Keilen?! What are YOU doing here? " I exclaimed, shocked at the sight of my lifelong enemy. He was standing there, examining my desk. " Oh, hey sis! " he waved. " Sis?! " I stomped out. " Mom, why is my Friend in my room?! " I bit my lip. " Oh, right. Honey, Keilen's parents um... well, they keep working overseas and decided to just leave Keilen with us as our child. He's your Brother now, and I'm sorry this is so sudden. It was quite last minute... " Mom mumbled.
I stepped back, taken by the news. I put my hands to my mouth. " I-I had no idea... " I tightened my ponytail and went back to my room. " Keilen, I'm sorry... I didn't know. " I shrugged. He smiled. " That's fine. " " So... um... where will you sleep? " I asked, unpacking my bag. " Your Mom said I'll use an air bed in your room. " He replied, hand behind his back. " Oh, cool. " I went back to unpacking.
" How did you get here before me? " I asked, slightly suspicious. " Well, is a fast walker, I Guess. " He laughed. I told my eyes. Just at that moment, my dad pushed in an air bed with a pink cover on it. " Sorry Keilen, we had nothing else. " He scratched his head. " That's alright. Thanks for taking me. " He smiled and turned back to me as quickly as my dad left the room.
I went to my desk and started studying. " Whatcha doing? " He leaned towards me. I could feel his presence invading my personal bubble as I got attacked by butterflies in my stomach. I took deep breaths. " Studying. " I gripped my pencil tight. " But we have no homework today. " He looked confused. " I know. I study to keep me busy. " I shook my head and went back to work. " Look, I really need to focus. If you want to annoy somebody, just talk to my Sister. " I sighed.
" Wait... you have a Sister? " He tilted his head, eyebrows furrowed. " DUH! " I give Him an It's so damn obvious! Look. " Ohhhh!!! " He realised, face palming himself. I feel Keilen's presence leave, and heard the click of the door closing. Great. Now I'm basically related to my arch nemesis. I put my head in my hands and sighed heavily. Great. Just great.
