Semi Eita was a lifeguard at Cowabunga Bay, a popular water park in his area.

It was the middle of summer. Everyone was crowding around in the wave pool, lines were backed up at waterslides, and the lazy river was filled with people in identical tubes.

He sat on his lifeguard tower near the main pool, floatation device in hand.

--

Shirabu, who normally worked at Carl's Jr. for his summer job, had the day off today. He decided it was a good idea to go have some fun in the sun at Cowabunga Bay, why not right? It was the perfect time to go.

Shirabu went alone, dressed in swim trunks and a tank top. The place was packed, filled with lots of people who were here for the same reason as him. He quickly put on a pair of sunglasses before walking around the park, scoping out all the slides.

He was deathly afraid of heights, so first, he settled for the wave pool. The second-year setter removed his tank top and set it aside--But wait- was that... Semi?! As soon as Shirabu got into the wave pool he instantly regretted it and hid amongst the people in the inner tubes. The waves were off now but would be starting up again soon.

--

Semi was pissed off with how slow this day was going. The beating hot sun was reflected off his light hair with a red umbrella above him. Despite the umbrella, it barely did any work as the heat was still surrounding his body that was barely covered by a white t-shirt and a red pair of swimming trunks that were both damp with water evaporating.

That was when he decided to remove the shirt and set it in his bag that was hanging off the lifeguard's post he sat in. His red sunglasses made it hard to see below him. But of course, his vision made it able for him to see the peeved boy that was Shirabu.

--

Shirabu looked away so Semi would hopefully not notice him... but once he glanced back, the third year was removing his shirt. "Shit..." his cheeks turned red, already tinted a pink from the sun's harmful rays and his lack of wearing sunblock.

He couldn't help but stare in awe. Semi was /ripped/ much to Shirabu's liking. Oh, man Kenjirou was so gay...

Suddenly, a loud buzz was heard, signaling that the waves were starting. Shirabu sighed, grabbing an inner tube and waiting. He was small, so maybe Semi wouldn't see him?

The first couple waves were nothing, small and barely did any damage, however, they gradually got increased in size until one particularly giant one was swallowing Shirabu whole. He didn't even notice because he was too busy staring at the incredibly attractive lifeguard that also played volleyball with him on the Shiratorizawa team... well good thing he was holding onto that inner tube.

Wait- he had an idea... and he'd have to wait a couple waves to put this plan into action...

--

Eita was sure to watch the people when the waves were on. He had seemingly memorized the pattern, and this time, these were the rougher waves some people got out from. Of course, there were the types of people who swam towards the front to get much more of a thrill out of the wave-maker.

Except... there was one smaller person he saw with his hawk-like eyes become engulfed by the waves like a child. Maybe it was a child, judging by how terrible his haircut looked. He furrowed his brows and continued to watch this person sink under and bob back up slowly, identifying him by his honey-colored hair that became a darker brown from the water.

Shirabu's been to cowabunga bay a couple times, he too likes to memorize the wave patterns.
