When I got home I just stayed with Lucius stroking his hair smiling though he was asleep. My son doesn't need to know my hardships yet nor who he's related to though I'm sure someone's already told him that which in the end is a huge effect on things around me. What to do huh? Laxus was sitting out in the living room looking more stressed than ever though I myself was humming to the sleeping form of our son. It was a song my adoptive mother sang before she got sick and died from whatever she had though I'd've helped had I known who I was which is kinda saddening more so than happy.
As soon as I exited the room Laxus looked at me though I ignored it and poured myself a glass of water ignoring the pain in my head which I was assuming was from earliest argument though many things can contribute to it. The pounding however was getting to me as it was beating as if synchronized with a drum. It hurt like a bitch though I can give it that much. I sat down head in between my knees holding the drink by its rim with one of my hands.
It'll go away as fast as it came! It has to. My breathing was becoming hoarse though at one point I thought that I fell asleep though it was mostly black spots in my vision. A cough left my throat as my hand shot to my mouth just in time to catch the blood seeping past my lips into my palm. My heart was racing as my teeth clenched to hold back the blood from seeping past my lips though I could hear Laxus coming this way so as quick as possible I washed away the blood though I knew he'd be able to smell it though I was basing it on a whim that he won't believe it.
"Lucy? Are you okay?" Quickly I nodded but didn't speak not really needing him to see the blood in my mouth. He read me up in down most likely assuming I just wasn't in the mood to talk with him at the moment though the thing is I could feel the pain in the back of my throat. A loud bang was heard at the door as Jellal came in with Grey and Gajeel looking frantically at Laxus who looked confused as hell at them. At this point I couldn't stop it. A cough sputtered out of me as I leaned over the sink blood seeping out of my lips as I began to pale. "Lucy!" He was at my side in an instant holding me up.
"I'm fine." He only shook his head clenching his jaw. The thing is I knew I wasn't as blood was seeping from my body. Mostly from my stomach everything else was minor. "It'll go away." I clenched the sink as the last of the blood left my mouth. It wasn't the best thing in the world have but I'll live.
"It's not just her Laxus. The rest of the girls suddenly collapsed and all you could see were cuts and bruises!" I already knew the answer. I slammed my hand down catching their attention while my vision was blurring.
"We... We are fine." I was wobbling a bit. "We were put in a suspended type of state meaning..." I turned to them taking in a sharp breath. "We never properly healed from the battle." They paled and began to rush out as Laxus caught me when I almost fell to my knees.
"Woah! Stop trying to move. You need to rest." There wasn't much they could do for them so I needed to be there. I just had to be for their sakes. "Lucy. No arguing. You need medical attention and I will not let you out of here when you can barely walk in a straight line!" There was worry in his eyes though I waved it off quickly using the wall to prop myself up. My healing magic can't help me if the injuries themselves were caused by him after all being in a suspended state made that spell lose power so I'll have to practice it again.
"Laxus. Just check on the other girls." I made my way upstairs into the bathroom and handled the injury as I heard something break downstairs meaning he punched something and broke it. Lucius came down from wherever he was confused as hell though I was sitting in the bathtub washing off the blood from my skin though the hot water soothed me it was still annoying to have the outline of blood stains over my skin.
"Mom?" I heard a voice say with a knock. "Why is Dad mad?" There wasn't much we can do about it.
"Don't worry baby we just had a little fight that's all. Nothing that won't heal with time." Lying wasn't the nicest of things to do to him but in a time like this where it's all I can do than I have to do that do I not?
There was silence as I felt him slide down the door outside of the bathroom and sigh as well as sniffle making me a bit confused as to what he was crying about. My baby was crying and that was so not something a mother took well to.
"Lucius? Baby is something wrong?" The water had turned a bit red though I was already draining it as well as pulling on my clothing that I had set aside when I came in here. His sobs grew a bit louder as I quickly after pulling my last piece of clothing on threw open the door to his sobbing figure. He looked exactly like Laxus down to a T though he himself had my calm and kind personality making me a hell of a lot prouder.
"He's gone..." I raised my eyebrows then at that knowing that he wasn't going to check on the girls. "He left! Where'd he go!" In an instant I brought him to his face.
"Don't worry my dear sweet boy. I'll bring him home. Go to your bed and sleep so that by the time the morning sun rises we'll be back." With that I quickly ushered him to his room. "Laxus you bastard of a man! Where in heaven's holy name did you go now!"
