Chapter 1:
It was just like any other day. Lauren got up got dressed and drove to school. In the past year she had gotten really good at faking smiles and pretending she was happy. She didn't need anyone asking questions or worrying about her. So she did what she knew best, pretend to be happy and put on that fake smile of hers as she walked into school. She got an iced coffee like she always did and walked straight to her class. She never talks to anyone in the morning because she's to tired and gets to annoyed with people. She was studying for the test she knew she was gonna fail when all of a sudden a guy walks into her class. He doesn't look familiar but she thought he was gorgeous. He had the bluest eyes and blonde hair. He was short but still taller than her. There was something about him that made Lauren smile.
Laurens POV
I don't know why I couldn't stop smiling there was something about the boy that just lights up the room. The bell rings and interrupts my thinking. After the announcements are over the teacher introduces the new kid. His name was Hunter Hayes. He was told that he could sit anywhere he wanted and he sat right next to me and he stared at me through the entire class. Maybe he likes me? I thought....no he couldn't he's to perfect to like someone like me. I'm ugly and fat and no one likes me.
