Epilogue

Nina hadn't slept well as she dreamt of all the horrible things he was doing to Aria. Since she couldn't sleep, she got up around ten in the morning to get ready for the meet, she knew she shouldn't go alone but she was afraid of what would happen if she didn't listen. She got ready and was out the door by twelve in the afternoon, she walked towards the plaza where he tried to kiss her. She tightly held the pocket knife in her black sweater pocket; she knew she had to protect herself as her body was still healing. She could feel the pain in her abdomen slowly increases as she knew the stress made her body work more.

Nina decided to grabbed a cup of Apple-Cinnamon tea to calm her down, she walked in to Tim Horton and order a medium apple cinnamon tea. She walked to a single table at far end of the store, sat down and took a sip of her tea. By the time she drank half of her tea, she started to calm down and the pain in her abdomen weakens. She looked at her phone and saw that it was 1:00 in the afternoon; she was surprise to find out that she had spent an hour at Tim Horton when it felt like a few minutes. She suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder, her hands started to become sweaty as she knew it was him but when she looked up from her phone she was surprise to see who it was.

​"Mickey," she said with a relieve sign.

​"Well it's good to see you too." He said in a surprise and happy tone.

​"Oh, yeah. Well I'm happy to see you too."

​"So what are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be at home resting? Could I sit?"

​"Umm... Yeah sure. Well I couldn't sit at home resting when I don't know where Aria is."

​Mickey pulled out the chair in front of her before he said, "I know you're worry about Aria but she would want you to rest. Everyone else is doing what they could do to find her. You haven't fully healed yet."

​"I know everyone else is doing what they could but I want to help too, she's my best friend and I can't lose her... Anyway why would you care about me?"

​"Nina, I care because I'm your friend and I'm also worried about you. You know how I feel about you."

​"Yeah, now you want to care for me, when two months ago you didn't acknowledge my feeling about you, you just ignored me, well to bad I'm happy to be with River. You lost your chance when you tried to cut me out of your life. And if you continue with this crap, you will end up losing Lina and I know that you loved her for a long time. I'm trying to be a friend to you but you are making it complicated, so as a friend I beg you stop this before you end up losing both of us. Please."

​Mickey sat quietly for two minutes before he said, "I know I've hurt you but I want to make it up to you... I'll try to stop myself from wanting you. I love both you and Lina and I can't help the way I feel but I'll try. It's just hard for me to see you with River.... How is your wound?"

​"I'm feeling ok; it just hurts a little...."

​Nina started to talk to talk about her wound and how her school work is going. They chatted for an hour and a half before Nina noticed the time, she told Mickey she had to go meet Andrew but Mickey wanted to drop her off at the meeting place. Nina told Mickey she was fine but he had insisted on walking with her, which made her nervous. Finally frustrated, he gave up and walked her out of Tim Horton. She pretended to walk towards the bus stop and when she knew he couldn't see her, she walked toward the back of the plaza. She placed her hand in her sweater pocket again and held the pocket knife hard as she walked closer to her destination. When she was behind the plaza, she looked around for Aria's kidnapper but she didn't see him. "God damn, maybe I missed him. He was my only way on getting Aria back," she thought as she became frustrated.
