Conan thinking : NINE?!! IS THIS GUY SOME PSYCHOPATH?!!
Takagi : Yes... Nine including Takeshi Masako. That is why we highly recommend that you guard Conan and Ran strictly.
Kogoro : Alright.
Conan thinking : Nine?! What... But... I..
Kogoro : Pssst, brat.
Conan : Huh?
Kogoro : Bring Ran and the serious girl to my office.
Conan : But that will get everybody's attention!
Kogoro : Just think of something!
Conan : But...

*Bonk*

Conan : Ouch......
Kogoro : Just bring her there.
Conan : Fine....

Conan went outside the room and went to the basement where Haibara and Ran was hidden.
Haibara : Let me guess. You were asked to take Ran to his office right?
Conan : Right..... Now let's go.
Haibara : How are we going to get a kid that big out of here without anyone noticing?
Conan : Hm... !!!!! Get me the plastic bag!
Haibara: Don't tell me it's for.... "sigh" You're so dumb...

A few minutes later
Takagi : Conan kun! What is in your plastic bag?!
Conan : Just.... Just some trash that the professor forgot to throw! I'm helping Haibara!
Takagi : Hmmm.... I see... Alright go on. Be careful alright?
Conan : Ok!!

Haibara and Conan immediately ran away and reached a path that is further away from Agasa's house. They took out Ran from the plastic bag and Conan carried her on his back.
Haibara : You are one idiot.
Conan: At least we didn't get caught. Now let's go!

On the way, a dozen of people questioned why Conan was carrying Ran. Some even volunteered to carry her instead, but Conan refused and just told them she was asleep and their house was very near.

At Mouri's office
Haibara : So how many people asked you?
Conan : 23, you?
Haibara : 30.
Conan : I'll just place her on the couch.
Haibara : "sigh" Now what?
Conan : Tomorrow I'll try to sneak in and see if I can find out things about the culprit.
Haibara : We should also check where her old clothes are placed.
Conan : Pretty sure it's somewhere hidden in that pile of clothes Ran has. Or maybe it's in Kisaki's house.
Haibara : I brought some of my clean clothes incase she can't find them right now. I also found a voice changing device hat looks like a hairpin when we were in the basement.
Conan : Nice! Let me try it first. Hm.... It's kind of complicated..... And very different from mine....
Haibara : Here. You have to switch it on by pressing the nose first. Then you click this button to choose the voices. The ears are basically the speakers.
Conan : Wow this thing is quite heavy. Are you sure it will be easy for Ran to wear it?
Haibara : I can just change it into something else. Just discard the pin and take the voice changing device. Glue it or place it somewhere else, like a bracelet or necklace. If you don't want to take chances of it breaking, leave the job to the professor.
Conan : Alright then.
Voice : Urgh....
Conan : Hm?
Haibara : What? Why are you looking at me like that?
Conan : Haibara, are you ok?
Haibara : What do you mean? I'm completely fine this whole time
Conan : I don't know. I think I heard something.
Haibara : Maybe it's just your imagination.
Conan : Maybe....
Haibara : Look, Kudo kun. It's not that I'm blaming you or anything, but you should really be careful when you spot or check the Black Organization. You are lucky that Ran only got the pill from Vodka. She could've gotten killed.
Conan : I know.... I was just so shocked that those men where behind that building. And I lowered my guard because I didn't see them nearby.
Haibara : That's why it's best for you to just leave them alone when you see them or you're with someone.
Conan : But Haibara! Those men are very dangerous! They are getting worse everyday. What if one day they actually find us and kill us? What if they involved our loved ones?
Haibara : Still, Kudo kun. It's not worthy to just risk your life to check on something so irrelevant on this time. Yes they may be dangerous, but you don't have to check them every time you see them. They may start to get suspicious and even try to locate you. You have to be aware of your surroundings!
Conan : Yeah, yeah got that....
Voice : Mmmhh...
Conan : !!!!!
Haibara : What's wrong?
Conan : I heard that voice again!
Haibara : W... What?
Conan : I... I think it was....
Ran : Conan?
