Chapter 16

"Allie, are you ready to go?" Nash yelled from the foryer.

"Give me 2 more minutes babe!" I responded rolling my backpack down the stairs. I went into Emma's room and sat on her bed while she put her chargers and her laptop into a bag.

"Can you believe this? Three whole weeks on the beach alone with our boyfriends..." Emma said.

"I know, I can't believe it either!
Were going to have so much fun...but hurry up! I think Nash wants to go." I responded. Emma finished up and put on her backpack while I wheeled down her suitcase. I handed Hayes Emma's bag and him and Nash went out to start the car.

"See you in three weeks! We'll miss you, Renee" Nash yelled from the porch. My mother waved and they shut the door leaving Emma and I alone with my mother.

"I'm going to miss you so much, girls. I'm so sorry I'm shipping you off like this." She said obviously upset.

"Are you kidding? We couldn't be more grateful you did all of this for us... and we still have a week and a half left of summer when we get back to spend together." I said smiling. She pulled us in for one last hug and kissed both of our foreheads. We ran towards the car in the driveway and she stood on the porch as we pulled out.

"Love you all! Have fun and be safe!" she yelled.

"Love you too!" We all yelled out the windows waving goodbye as we pulled away. We turned up the music and Nash held my hand while we just drove.

It took about two hours to get to the cape from Boston but it was all worth it as we pulled up to a giant house right on the beach. It was perfect. We parked the car and all grabbed our bags bringing them inside. We walked into this large open room with a back door leading to a giant infinity pool overlooking our own private part of the beach. We ran to the second floor that had two full bed and baths and a rec room with a giant tv and a Ping pong table.

"Hey Al, can me and Emma snag this floor? You and Trash Nash can have the big rooms upstairs if ya'll want" Hayes said.

"Works for me!" I replied cheerfully looking up at Nash who was standing next to me. We left Emma and Hayes to themselves because I think they were going to penny board to the little grocery store in the center of town just a few blocks away. Nash took my hand and we went up yet another stair case to our own floor. The bed rooms were on opposite sides of the hall and of course I called the one with the balcony on the beach side. I started to put things in my closet when I was taken off guard and lifted off the ground from behind.

"NASH! STOOOPP!" I yelled gasping for air as he tickled my sides.

"Never!" he yelled back throwing me down on my bed. He was now hovering over me and we layed there staring at each other in silence.

"I love you." Nash said.

Without thinking I grabbed his face and crashed my lips into his. We started to get more and more into it and we flipped over so I was now on too. I panicked and didn't know what to do. I was scared because the only boy who has ever told me he loved me was Derek, and that was obviously a big fucking lie. But something about Nash was just so genuine and real. Before I knew it he pulled away and it was back to us face to face in silence.
