The Dragon's Princess

Prologue

The horse galloped in the dark forest and its rider looked around the forest, searching for the castle between the boundary. They pulled on the reins when they saw just below them was a magnificent castle but one of its tower were farther than the rest. The rider took off his helmet and revealed a man with stunning green eyes and fiery red hair. He smirked and said, "Princess Layla was right." He kicked the black stallion and they ran, headed towards the farthest tower. 

The knight looked around the place as he passed through it. When he reached the base of the tower what he saw shocked him, it was well kept with bushes of flowers and a complete stone pathway. He got off the horse and stared at the balcony in the top part of the tower. He cleared his throat and yelled, "Oh Princess Luce! I am the knight Kyle sent by your older sister!" A shadow befall of him and a melodic voice answered, "Kyle is it? Tell me Kyle, why are you here in the first place?" Kyle blushed a deep red, remembering the promise of the princess' hand in marriage if he did manage to get her home. "To return you home. To save you from the dragon!" 

The princess didn't answer and Kyle began to sweat as the temperature in the wind dropped. 

 "Take my Luce?" 

The shadow grew larger and Kyle felt fear. He took a step back and began running away from the tower. The shadow began nearing him and he looked back only to be pushed down into the grass. Staring at the glowing red eyes, Kyle closed his eyes, feeling the scaly and heavy claw of the dragon. 

"Answer me human. You dare take my Luce away?"

Kyle stared at the towering black dragon who lowered his head to face him. "N-n-no! I don't want to die!" Kyle struggled and the dragon blew a small puff of white fire. Kyle felt the dragon move. 

"Leave this place and never return!"

He roared and Kyle shrieked in fear, running to the dark forest with his companion running with him.

The dragon huffed making small puff of white fire appear out of his nostrils. 

"KKKAAAAIII!!!"

 The dragon looked to the pathway and saw a blonde haired girl running towards him. She jumped making her white summer dress flutter in the wind. The dragon's body began to change, shrinking into a humanoid form. Black hair flew as the humanoid dragon caught the smiling girl who stared at him with ocean blue eyes. 

"That was dangerous princess. Don't do it again okay?" 

Luce pouted at the feminine looking boy who stared softly at her with crimson red eyes. 

"Fiiiinnnneee." 

Kai laughed and tightened his hold on the girl. 

"Hahaha promise me?" 

Luce huffed and touched their foreheads together. 

"Fine but you'll have to catch me first!" 

Luce jumped out from Kai's arms and began sprinting towards the castle. Kai blinked and began running. 

"Just you wait princess!"

 Kai  grabbed Luce's waist making them fall to the ground. They stared at each other's eyes and began laughing.
