After 2 years we're finally moving. I know people usually say how good it is for a fresh start but for me it's completely different.
Let's start from the beginning.
I was in my last year of high school, me and my parents were so happy, unlike most families. Our family was made with love and loyalty, everyone had each other's backs, we couldn't even be angry with each other without apologising. Anyway,
It was a Saturday afternoon and I was walking home from a school party, yearly football party, I had gotten into an argument with my boyfriend well at least my ex boyfriend now. Nothing bad ever happened in Crimson Peak so I didn't even worry about be alone in the dark. As I was walking I came across guy, wearing all back, jet black hair and piercing blue eyes. He stood there, staring into the sky.
"Hello?"
He focused his gaze onto me, as if reading my mind, trying to uncover something.
"Ana." His deep voice sending chills down my spine.
"Sorry I think you have the wrong person, I'm Katherine"
He softly smiled at me and asked me what I was doing around here alone.
We ended up talking for a good few hours, our dreams, aspirations, hopes for the future. Until I had to go home.
I knew I wouldn't remember this day for a long time but I hoped to meet again.
I waved and gave him small smile and left, calling my parents to come and pick me up.
As soon as the car pulled up I could tell I was in for an argument. I got into the car, the warm air smashing my face as I stepped inside.
"Elena." He talked in a stern voice, trying to prevent me from talking back, but he knew.
"Dad, I told you. I didn't drink, can we just not even go there today?"
"I can smell it on y-"
After arguing for what seemed like hours we were nearly home, just past some woods and we'll be home. Boy was I wrong.
As soon as we turned the corner a human like figure was stood in the road, it all happened so fast. One minute we were driving the next my father looks away for a second and we were turning in the air. I could see the fear in my mothers face.
2 years later~
I embraced the smell of the mint and pine scent, I would miss so dearly. I waved goodbye as a single tear slid across my face.
" A fresh start is what we need, I promise"
I should I known what was coming.
