'Ugh, mom do I really have to go? I'm fine.' I asked her. " Yes Cambree you have to."  She told me. "This is so stupid! It was months ago, so why do I still have to go? I complained. "Honey, I just want you to forget that it even happened. You never know you might like it over there." she said. I let out a frustrated sigh and went to my room to pack.

I bet your wondering what all that was about. Long story, but let me tell you something's about my self. My name's Cambree Elizabeth Parker, but you can call me Cam. I am 17, I would have been a senior at Harbor City High School in California. I have long light blonde hair, blue eyes, and I'm average height. I'm an honors student. I do gymnastics, competitive cheer, and softball.

Anyway, back to what me and my mother were talking about. A few months ago my boyfriend cheated on me with my best friend. It broke me. I haven't been the same since. I thought I loved him. Hell, I thought he loved me. But apparently it was all just a lie. What makes it worse is that it was my best friend. She wasn't even sorry about it. In fact she rubs it in my face every time she sees me. They turned the whole school against me. Spreading lies, saying that I cheated on him with his brother. I mean who the fuck even thinks to do that?! Oh right, my crazy ex boyfriend and ex best friend.

My mom is sending me away to one of her friends for senior year that lives all the way in Florida. Crazy, right? I have no say so in this. I honestly don't want to go. That would be taking the easy way out, just running from my problems. I don't even know the family that I'm going to be staying with. They could be crazy for all I know. Well of course they aren't or my mom wouldn't be sending me there. I wonder if she has any kids?

As I finish packing up my room there is a knock at the door.

"Are you finished packing, sweetie?" My mother said.

"Yeah mom. Do you think you can carry some of my bags to the car?" I asked her.

"Of course!" She chirped.

Once we got everything in the car we headed off to the airport so I could catch my plane. It only took 15 minutes to get there. Mom was trying her best to not cry. She really would miss me. After all I'm all she has left of our "family".

"Now dear, please be extra careful. And call me when you get there." She said with a sniffle as we walked through the airport.

"I always am" I said. "Mom please don't cry. I wont be gone that long. We will call each other every day. and like you said I need this. I need to clear my head, forget, and start a new life."

" I know honey ill just miss you so much!" She said grabbing me into a hug. I could hear her crying.

" Ill miss you too, mom." I told her.

" Oh, Cambree I forgot to tell you about her children, she has-"

" Boarding flight 184 to Miami Florida." The announcer said over the intercom.

"I guess that's might queue to go." I said with a sigh.

"I love you Cammy, don't you forget that." My mom said pulling me in for another hug.

" I love you too, mommy." I said with tears in my eyes. I really would miss her.

" Well, go on now wouldn't want you to miss your flight." She said trying to tease, but failed.

" Right, bye mom." I said.

"Bye sweetie! Have fun!" She yelled to me.

I gave me mom one last wave before I stepped onto the plane. I quickly found my sit, put my carry on bag away, and sat down. I kept thinking about my mom and how much I was going to miss her.

" Welcome passengers! I  hope you have a wonderful flight today. May please ask if you would put your seat belts on and turn any electronic off. We will be taking off in a minute. Thank you." The pilot said over the intercom.

As soon as we were able to turn our electronic on I put my ear buds in my ears and drifted off to sleep. Man this is going to be a long flight.
