Roland above
∆Roland's POV
"What are you doing?!?!" I jumped at the voice in slight panic and then froze.
"Answer me Roland!" I turned to look at my fuming mother. She had her hands by her side, both clenched into fists. She was wearing a white and black dress that complemented her curves, not that I would be checking her out. One earring dangled while the other was stuck to her hair.
"Umm..." I gulped and looked down guiltily. "Playing Xbox?"
She hummed agreeing with me. "I told you to study! Not play!"
"I'm sorry mother"
"You should be!"
"What is all the commotion?!" My dad entered the room. Shit!
"This boy" My mother gestured at me. "He's playing when he should be studying for the upcoming tests"
"Roland" I turned to look at my father. Who was also becoming mad at my actions. "Do you know how much work we put into you"
Of course after all this noise my brother decides to also be part of this argument.
"Yeah Roland. You should be studying" He smirked at me. He knows how much stress I have. Having to satisfy your parents that are grade obsessed. They never let me do anything other than study for stupid tests that will have nothing to do with my life after highschool.
"Fine. I'll go study" They smiled satisfied and left the room.
"Get out" I spat at my older brother, Michael.
"When's the next test, brother?" He leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Even if I was bigger than him, in everyway. I could never bring myself to punch him. He was older yes, but I was stronger. He fucked up in life and that's why my parents want me to succeed in mine. Even though it actually seems like they want me to drown in my studies.
When I was younger we were always a happy family. Always hanging out together whenever we could. You see my parents are rich people. Richest in town. They like to brag about it too. Buying expensive stuff, there is no doubt that there is not at least one person that doesn't know who they are.
"Get the fuck out!" I growled at him standing up and taking a threatening step towards him. He backed up with hesitance in his eyes before grunting and walking out.
I slammed my door shut, not caring if it broke. I plopped down in my bed and grabbed the stupid textbook to study. Sometimes I wish we weren't rich. I wish were just a normal family that didn't care about other peoples opinions. My parents are always bragging about my grades to their equally rich friends. They don't hang out with "people from the lower class" as my parents call them.
I took out my pencil and started writing down the important stuff. I know nerdy right? I am a nerd anyway. It's not like the title doesn't fit me. I act nerdy. I dress nerdy. Heck I even talk nerdy, and it's all to impress my parents.
Even though I'm a nerd, I am pretty known at school. Well to girls I am. I recall, they mainly know me as the "Hot Nerd" or "Dio Greco" I mean I am no Greek god, but even I can admit, I have a good body.
I work out ever day, for an hour after school. My parents don't know this, they think I'm studying in the school library. Heck no, instead I just hang out in the gym, and even though I am under age, that doesn't stop older women to hit on me. That makes me shiver in disgust. Women only like men for their fine body, they don't even take the time to know the man and they instantly go to bed with them or marry them, only for their body.
