Marry's POV:

OCTOBER 28 2004

Loud screams, glass crashing, blood stains, I just couldn't handle it anymore. Flashbacks from the past always came back. Ever since dad lost his job, things started to get worse. He had to work at New Orleans City Business company as the Digital Marketing Manager. After the company's contribution with other companies failed, it came to an end. Dad started to come home late every night with the smell of alcohol hovering him. Until one night, I was sleeping in my bed hoping things would get better,I heard a loud banging and screams, I rushed downstairs, and the view was terrible. Dad was grabbing mom by her hair holding a vodka bottle in his hand. I ran up the stairs, got to my closet and grabbed the baseball bat my grandam bought for my 7th birthday. I went back down, pushed dad with all the strength I had towards the wall, "ENOUGH! You have exactly 2 minutes to get out before we call the police. NOW!" I growled at him. Dad looked at me with a surprised face, suddenly his eyes got teary. I was all steady, not moving an inch forward nor backward. Mom was standing shaking behind, her eyes were puffy from crying. Finally dad got up walking towards the front door. And since that day I've never saw him again. Two weeks after the accident, mom decided to move to LA, wanting  to open a new leaf. I couldn't say no, since I wanted the same too. Staying in that house reminded us of what happened before.

We started our packing this morning, mom is on the phone with the moving out company. I was packing up my bags. "Marry, check the basement for me, would ya?" Mom yells downstairs. 'OK" I did as I was told. Once I reached the basement, I grabbed the first box ready to shove things in it. There was shelf full off books and photo albums all covered with dust. I didn't bother to check it knowing that it has something to deal with the past. I turned around & started to pack other stuff. Once I was done I went back to the living room seeing workers holding boxes outdoor. "Thank you sweetie, oh by the way, I ordered the first flight to LA this morning, its tomorow's flight at 6:00 AM." she say "That's great" I smile " Can you believe we will starts a whole new chapter of our lives in a blink?'  "It's definitely hard, but don't worry honey, everything will be just fine' mom hugs me. I seriously don't  know where would I be without her. 4 hours passed, the whole packing was done and the workers were gone with our boxes, i was getting ready to sleep, as mom knocked on the door. "Sweetie? Have you slept yet?"  "Almost"  I say. " What are you waiting for?! Bed. Now." mom says smiling. I nodded my head as i hugged her, "Tomorrow will be different isn't it?' I ask her. "It will be, darling, it will be"
