Emily Couros turns 11

   Hi my name is Em. Emily Couros to be exact. Em is for short. I love nature and love to take care of it to make it beautiful. what I turned 11 I was very happy. I got my presents and at the end of my birthday, my mother took me to our balcony and said, "Em I have something very important to tell you"

   "what is it mom"  I said

   "I think it's time I told you that you are a very special child"

   " what do you mean?"

   " I mean you have supernatural powers." " when you were young the Evil Queen Patricia put a spell on our town that it will be dark,foggy and ugly when you turn 11."

   " why did she do that." I asked.

    "she hated beautiful things in nature. She also dislikes our family. You know she was a very good queen before but, hatred and jealousy overcame her.... jelly bean of the people with supernatural powers. You see that's why she dislikes us"

   "Oh ok." I said. " did you believe me when I said you had supernatural powers" she asked.

   "not really" I told her.

    "Ok" she said. "Point to the brown grass over by the porch." She told me. I food exactly that. "now think of wonderful pretty grass and flowers, and move your hand in the air across the ground."

    I did that open my eyes and saw beautiful patch of grass, pretty tulips, and gorgeous dandelions. I open my mouth in awe. "H...H...how di...did that happen."

    My mother smiled. " you have more powers waiting to meet you, but you will find them later on in your quest. " you will know what to do when the time comes." she said.

    blinking speechlessly, I looked at my mother. " wow so when do I start"

    " you start tomorrow, space you must get to the castle and stop her from destroying our town." And with that I went to bed.

     the next morning, I woke up early. I took a shower, brush my teeth, ate cereal and set of on my adventure. I knew my mom would know where I went so I didn't bother waking her up. As I stepped outside my eyes felt like popping out and falling to the ground. Everything was all discussing and full and foggy too. Man! that Queen Patricia person really dreads seeing beautiful nature. I didn't have a clue where I should go but my instinct told me to start walking. As I walk down the narrow sidewalk I saw plants that were dying. Using my powers I try to make as many flowers as I could pretty again. I succeeded. Almost half of the town was beautiful again. While I walked I saw a bird on the ground about to die. I ran to it and knelt down on the ground. Suddenly I knew what to do. I put my hands on the birds back and spoke the words, "Via Amintus" I don't know what I had just done amazingly the bird woke up and started chirping in flying. I was happy to see it flying up happily.

    Finally it came down and said to me, " where did you learn to do that!" I paused and my jaw dropped as if it was to touch the ground.

    I managed to answer the birds question. "umm... I don't even know I just.. I guess I just felt myself do it." now I knew what my mom meant when she said..." You have more powers waiting to meet you, but you will find them later on your quest. You will know what to do when the time comes." I knew she was right. "

     "The name is Olive, I'm your ally I have been sent from the good queen to..." The bird stopped mid sentence and look at my blank / curious face. " I mean I'm here to help if you need any help."

     " right" I said, looking suspiciously at my new animal friend. I was actually looking for a Queen Patricia castle. Is it a long walk from here? Will I have to go back home and grab my comfortable running shoes? Will I make it there soon enough to save the town? I was so worried that I couldn't stop all the questions from flooding out of my mouth.

    "Slow down there little Rooky" said Olive. " there is more to that, first we will have to walk 12 miles to the left the Red Hills then turn left up to the Evergreen mountains and walk two more days until we see the tippity top of the pointiest part of the castle then walk 20 minutes till we reach the front door of the Queen's castle" the bird stared at my now beet red face. "You know I was just kidding right, if there is one thing I know about people like you is that you can teleport us right in front of the castle is I just tell you the directions or if you already know it."

    sighing and release I said "Don't you scare me like that ever again"

    "Haha I got you pretty good didn't I"

    " yup but let's get back to business. Okay so you said I have powers to chant us there right?"

     "Yup" said Olive.

     "I remember my mom reading me a good night story that had a castle and an evil queen who lives in it. I guess she was trying to tell me about Queen Patricia so I guess that's where she lives." I said.

    "exactly" said Olive.

   here goes I said in my head. I closed my eyes, grabbed Olives wings and said this magic word, "Via transportus" a strong gust of wind passed by Olive and I. I still kept my eyes closed until the wind stop. I saw a really familiar place except it didn't look as pretty as I've once seen it it looks really ugly and dull I also saw something else in front of me I was holding the hands of a really cute boy.

   I realized his hands immediately. I blushed and managed to say "who are you............."
