Jon's P.O.V
The ambulance arrived at the hospital safely, & quickly. They hauled George into a room the instant the ambulance arrived.
The band was escorted to the waiting room, were they sat to wait for news on George's well-being.
After what felt like a half hour sitting, Barbara came barging into the room. Her hair was sticking up everywhere, as if she just rolled out of bed. When she came close enough, Jon could clearly see the bags under her eyes. She hasn't slept at all.
Barbara stood in front of the band, rubbing her sleepy eyes. "So can someone tell me what the hell happened to George? And why nobody bothered to give me a call? I care about him too you know."
Jon shrugged & looked down to inspect his nails, avoiding eye contact with Barbara. "Well, we slept together & George already suspects we did even though I didn't tell him. Therefore, I didn't call you because I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to see you or know you're here."
Roy & Mikey glanced at each other & wrinkled their noses in disgust. Roy cleared his face & nodded. "That AND George puked up blood. You see, our instincts were to instantly call for help. We didn't have time to call everyone George knows. So, don't bitch us out."
Barbara shrugged her shoulders & sat down on Jon's lap. She smiled as she played with a lock of his hair. He swatted her hand away & she pouted. He then pushed her off his lap.
The startled Barbara got up & brushed the dirt off her skirt. After, she crossed her arms. "What the hell was that for? I was just trying to cheer you up." She again pouted.
Jon rolled his eyes. Surely she knew they were at a hospital. That kind of behavior was inappropriate due to the situation they were facing. Couldn't she see this wasn't about her?
She too rolled her eyes. "Okay. Fine. Whatever. Ignore me." She shrugged after everybody decided not to speak to her. Boredom got the best of her as she reached for a magazine & sat down to look through it.
After a short while sitting in silence, George's parents came through the door as well. Dinah rushed over to Jon & hugged him tightly. She pulled away to hug the rest of the band. After she accomplished her goal, her face gave way to worry. "Oh dear... this is bad. I thought he wasn't serious about it." She pulled a tissue out of her pocket & blew her nose. Tears were crashing down hard on that woman. Well, yeah. He's her son.
But Jon was confused by her words. She was babbling on about something George said to her after he left her office. What did George say to her that has her crying the way she is? What did he do?
Jon needed answers. George's father was rubbing his wife's back, trying to calm her down. Jon decided to do the same, only he rubbed her arm instead. "Dinah", he paused to choose his words carefully. She looked up at him, teary- eyed. He thought about it & nodded. "What did George say to you... when he left you're office?"
Dinah looked taken aback. She looked at the three band members. They all stared back at her, wondering as well, even Barbara. She widened her eyes. "You mean, none of you know?"
They looked at each other & shook their heads. George's dad whistled & crossed his arms. "This has got to be good." Dinah slapped her husband's arm, angry. "Stop that. This is a serious matter."
George's dad shrugged. "It's not my fault or you're fault that our child turned out to be a gay drug addict that probably went off the rail & did gods know what to himself to try to attempt suicide."
