Chapter 4: Cancun buddy!

-45 minutes later-

I'm suddenly awoken by the plane stopping.
I look through the plane window and I see it's still night time.

Ughh what now?

I turn my head and look at Ryan. He was on his phone listening​ to music.
I tap him on the should to get his attention.

"What's up?"
He says taking one earbud out his ear'

"Why did the plane stop?"

"Oh, because we're in Boston. The plane has to make a stop here before we get to Cancun."

"Oh...."

"Yep."
He says putting his earbud back in his ear'

I look around and notice that the seats in front of us were empty.

*So ya know what I did?
I got up and sat in them!*

"Hey were are you going?"
Ryan stops me'

"I'm going to go sit in the next row"

"Why?"

"Because I need my space and privacy Ryan"

"Okkk you get in trouble"

"I'm not going to get in trouble"
I say sitting down in the next row'

I begin to fall back asleep as the plane takes off again.
But suddenly I'm startled to death when I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I first thought it was Ryan messing with me, But it actually wasn't.
It was a young dirty- blonde headed girl.

"Excuse me, umm... May I sit here please? There aren't any more seats"
She asks politely'

"Yeah sure"
I say moving my blanket out of the other seat'

"Thank you so much. And sorry for disturbing you out your sleep."

"Oh no, it's ok. It's not like I'm going to be getting any sleep anyways"

"Same here. Are ya going to Cancun too?"
She asks'

"Sadly...Yes..."

"Geez, you don't sound so happy?"

"I'm not! I really don't wanna go to. But my family is making me go, we're staying there for the whole summer"

"I'm staying there for the whole summer too! Why aren't you excited?"

"Because me and my best friend back in Nantucket were suppose to spend the summer together. But now we can't cause my family made this stupid idea about going to Cancun..."

"Trust me you'll have a lot of fun there! I go every summer with my little brother and Dad."

"I'll try to have fun...."
I mumble'

"Hey! Why not we be Cancun buddies!"
She says cheerfully​'

"Cancun buddies??"
I say all confused'

"Ya know, when we get to Cancun I can show you around and stuff."

"Sure I guess that will be ok.
But how will I know what hotel you'll be in?"

"That's ok, here you can take my number"
She says as she writes it down on a small peace of paper from her pocket'

She hands it to me and I slip it into my pants pocket.

"Well I guess we should be getting some rest."
She says'

"Yeah."
I agree'

"Well goodnight!"
She smiles as she turns over in her seat'

"GoodNight..."
I whisper'

*Well she's nice!*
