Ch. 2 Man Hunt

     Nick Fury walked into the briefing room. He had called in the Avengers. Of course three of the Avengers were on time. Clint Barton known as Hawk-eye was seated to the right of where Fury would be sitting. Beside him sat Natalia Romanova known as the Black Widow, who was field-stripping her weapon. Across from Clint sat Steve Rogers known as Captain America. Fury sighed and shook his head. Looks like we'll be waiting a few more minutes before the others show up. Why can't they just be on time for once? Would it kill them? He thought to himself. 

     After walking to the head of the Conference table and sitting down he waited. Those present were looking at him waiting for him to speak but he was not going to repeat himself to every person that walked in one after the other. As he was thinking this Bruce and Thor came in. Thor just appearing and Bruce walking through the door, now all they needed was Tony.

     Fifteen minutes later Tony finally walked in. Everyone glowered at him and he quickly sat down shrugging and saying "Hey I do need my beauty sleep". Fury glared at Tony as Clint spoke "Well that beauty sleep doesn't seem to be doing much good Tony." Tony was about to retort when he saw Fury's glare and shut his mouth. Then Fury started the briefing. "Well Avengers, we have a situation." 

Natasha spoke up then, trying to get to the point. "What kind of situation Sir?" 

"We have a Man Hunt situation, this boy has been off and on Shields radar, since he was twelve." 

"Why is he on Shields radar Sir" Steve spoke up " especially if he's only twelve?" 

     I looked at him to see him on the edge of his seat. It's not every day a twelve-year-old is on Shields watch list after all. "Well, he blew up a school bus with a revolutionary war cannon on a field trip, blew up the St. Louis arch, and was involved in a shoot out on the west coast." 

Tony blanched "That kid sounds like me!" I looked at him and deadpanned "That's why he's a problem". He looked offended at that comment but didn't say anything.

    "Who is this kid Fury?" asked Clint. 

"His name is Perseus Alexios Jackson" Thor stood up so fast his chair flew out the window. "What!?" He shouted "You can not harm that boy nay Man" 

"And why not Thor?" He looked down at that "It is not my place to say, I can say this though. He is not someone to make an enemy of. He is a legend among legends". 

Everyone looked at him seriously trying to figure out if he was kidding. Tony spoke up "Oh come on he's just a kid and you're a God!" He exclaimed, "He can't be that dangerous!" Then Thor said one thing that chilled us all to the bone. "I would not be the first god to die at his hand. I would be a fool to make an enemy of him, if I did I would be cast from Asgard to protect the realm from the destruction that would follow. He is worthy of mine hammer Mjolnir, and if you harm him you will have more than just the gods to deal with. You will make an enemy of me and all the others he has befriended." He said "Hear me and hear me well" Thor boomed "If you harm Perseus you will have a fury worse than Helheim to deal with." Fury looked up at that to see an angry Thor. "Well we're in luck then, I don't want to hurt him I'd just like to speak with him. But to do that I have to have him here so I need you to confront him, and apprehend him. At any cost." 

At this Thor's demeanor darkened once again. "I will go with to make sure neither side hurts the other, and try to convince him to come peacefully but if it turns to a fight I will not assist you." Then he quite literally stormed out of the room, lightning crackling around him. 

     Fury sighed, "Avengers he is currently in a Cemetery near Central Park. Go and apprehend the suspect and bring him back in for custody. At any means, I don't care what Thor says" They stood and left. Now only to wait it won't be long before they're back with that boy with them.
